Jeff's Furniture — Local services in Rocky Mount

If you are looking for quality furniture and reliable service, DO NOT go to Jeff's Furniture! At first, the place seems okay for the quality and the prices and the people "seem" friendly. However, I found out the hard way that the place is really run by a group of unprofessional idiots! The "manager" ordered the wrong bedroom suite for my daughter and we had to wait for over 2 weeks for it to arrive. I stopped in to see if it had arrived over 2 weeks after it had been ordered and she told me, "oh yeah, it just came in this morning, but I haven't had time to call you." I then told her I would not be able to pick it up on Saturday and it would have to wait until Monday to be picked up; she said that was no problem and she would have it put together over the weekend so it would be ready for pick up. It rained on Monday so had to wait until today to pick up. I arrived around 3:50 pm, and the furniture had not been assembled; strike 1! I paid the remaining balance and began to wait and wait and wait as I was told it would only be a few minutes; later found out the furniture was still on the truck; strike 2! I then thought, I better take a look at things and see if it was right, the dresser mirror was broken; strike 3! I then asked to see the headboard as I had been very specific about making sure she was ordering the right suite and she assured me it was. The guy opened the headboard and it was NOT the right one; strike 4! I questioned the "manager" 3 or 4 times before paying the deposit to make sure she was ordering the right suite and again she assured me she was. We waited almost 3 weeks to get this and the"manager" had it ALL screwed up! I told her to just give back my money. She gave back the balance I paid today, but told me she would have to write me a check for the deposit I paid almost 3 weeks ago. At first, I said okay because I thought she was going to write it before I left the store; OH NO! She thought I was going to leave the store without her giving me the remaining hundred dollars. She was WRONG! She gave me every STUPID excuse she could, but I didn't budge! I then had to talk to some other ignorant guy on the phone. I was then told the owner of the store was on his way to write the check. After waiting another 30 minutes, the "manager" finally came out with the check! I NEVER saw the owner at all. These people are very unprofessional and ignorant! STAY AWAY!!!!!! I have never met such ignorant people running a business before! The owner didn't have the decency to even talk to me about the situation or anything.......... Needless to say, I WON'T be going back and if you know what's good for you when you are looking furniture, you won't go...

I purchased a sectional that they delivered when they said they would, the day they brought it into the house, the recliner switch fell out. I that's ok things happen. It wasn't until a month late that I leaned in the arm of the recliner with my elbow and that's when I felt a pop and my elbow sunk down into the arm of the chair. I thought I broke something so turned the chair on it's side and that's when I found the top arm of the sectional was made out of cardboard. My elbow had broken a whole in the top arm of the chair. Now I can't lean on the arm because when I do I'm afraid I'll break another hole in it. It sucks because I paid 6,000 cash for the sectional. I will never buy...

Excellent! My wife had been looking for two swivel bar stool chairs for over a year. Of course a certain look. She's a beast when it comes to interior design. So anyway, they had two left which were for display. So they gave us a little discount for that, and a discount for me being an ARMY Veteran. The furniture they stock instore and on line is amazing, and the customer service is on point. I would definetely recommend...
