Ted's Fresh Market — Local services in Rogers Park Township

Rude unprofessional cashiers with low quality service. I used to think this is the store I support shopping locally but it turned out it is below average with no courtesy for its customers. Two incidents have made me stop coming here: 1 – Few weeks ago, I called before arriving to the store asking if an item I was looking for is available. The associate confirmed they did and I drove 30 minutes to find out they did not have it in stock. I spoke to the manager on site who seemed indifferent. 2 – Today, I spent about $30 and waited 20 minutes for an item to be stocked on shelves. When they finally did, after I paid in advance, it was the wrong item. No apologies or considerations followed. I called afterward to speak with the store manager but the cashier who picked up the phone, (said her name is Lisa), claimed that the store manager doesn’t work over the week-end and if I needed to talk to him to call up Monday. Expired items and low quality services reflect careless business skills in times businesses are striving for good relations with their customers. I will never go to...

Pros: In this area when many of the other stores are already closed by 8/9:00 PM, I love that Teds is open till 10 and also on most holidays like thanksgiving & xmas they have remained opened and operate on regular hours! Very reliable and convenient store to have around!!! Decent prices also. (but when the older managers were there they offered even better sales) The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars is because I’m not a fan of the new managers and the Generic selection. There used to be a really awesome European lady who used to run the store, who got all sorts of exotic healthy & high quality foods from eastern Europe that are hard to find in the USA. She really used to bring in the best selection of items and because of that I used to love shopping here even more. The new managers made the store waaaay too generic now for my taste, things you can just get in jewel osco, and lower quality brands that I don’t like as much. I really hope they expand their selection and start importing better European high quality brands. that's what made this store stand out...

very bad customer service kept my two recipts had NO RIGHT TO KEEP MY RECIPTS NOT TO GIVE BACK AND REFUSED TO GIVE NE REFUBD AND KEPT PRODUCT WITH RECIPTS VERY VERY BAD. Refused to gove refund kept product and recits very dishonest very bad. VERY TERRIBLE!!!!! Tried to RETURN MORTADELLA. WAS SICK Could not get to store rid a way it was only 5 days. Manager refussed to take back it was smelly greasy stuck together not good old not nice i said dont refund me just exchange it for something else i spend hundreds in that place i shop regularly there so keep my 8.00 Not nice totally not nice not right they have old food terrible not to change it bad customer service dont shop here...
