This is my new favorite place to eat and I will be becoming a regular here. The restaurant is smaller but looks newly remodeled, very bright, sunny, and spotlessly clean. The owner is incredibly friendly and provides some of the best customer service I've ever seen. If you have any questions about the menu, just ask, and he'll be happy to explain it to you! Prices are low. I had the falafel which was out of this world. It had to have been made fresh, because I have never had falafel this crispy, light, and delicious. The garlic sauce is not playing around, it is wonderful and tastes like FRESH garlic. Try the amba, it's a mango-based sauce which reminds me of the tangy spice you get from Frank's Buffalo sauce, but more mango-y; it would be great on the falafel sandwich too. Next time I'll be having the chicken shawarma - the owner gave me a sample of the meat and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I don't think you can go wrong here! The only word of caution I would have is that because they're making the food fresh it is not fast food in the traditional sense - it does take a little longer than, say, Subway to get your food, but it is SO worth the wait. And you can call ahead to place your order and pick it up when it's ready if you're really allergic to waiting. All in all - five stars, make sure...
Read moreI got take-out and the food was solid while being affordable. The portion size of the mezzes were more generous than what I expected. The hummus was smooth and pleasantly tart, though a bit too chickpea-forward for my taste. The baba ganoush was chunky, garlicky, and deliciously smoky but could have used more salt and lemon. It would have been great if these dips came with pita. The lentil soup was decent but also needed more salt and lemon. The shawarma wrap was packed with flavorful meat cooked just right with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The owner was kind enough to offer us his freshly made falafels and we were so glad we got to try them. They were outstanding: perfectly crisp on the outside, incredibly soft inside, and complemented beautifully by a good drizzle of rich,...
Read moreAn Absolute Hidden Gem on Devon! I just had an amazing meal at Nineveh Kabab Inn on Devon. Itâs a small, easy-to-miss spot between Tedâs grocery and Levinsonâs bakery, but absolutely worth finding. The owner/chef, Geroge, was incredibly kind. While my wife and I were deciding what to order, he offered us a few falafels, and they were honestly the best Iâve ever had (and I donât even like falafel). I got the beef shawarma sandwich with tahini, and we split a Nineveh salad and added an order of falafel. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. While we waited, the chef also gave us some Turkish pastries, which were a nice surprise. We left completely full and happy. Definitely going back. The falafels...
