I recently had a backup camera installed on my Audi A4 by Car Audio Innovations (backup cameras come standard in many less expensive cars, not sure why not on Audis, but that’s another a gripe to have with Audi). I went to 2 other shops in the area and chose Car Audio Innovations based on the information provided to me and the way it was presented to me. The amount of time spent answering my questions led me to believe that this guy, Rod was passionate about his business and really knew what he was talking about. I have to say, working in a customer centric industry myself that relies heavily on great customer experiences and referrals, Rod and his staff are far and above some of the most customer focused people I ever did business with. Rod was very thorough on explaining options available and why he would recommend one over the other. He ultimately left the decision up to me after explaining the pros and cons of each product. He quoted me a specific price that I agreed to and a week later, he installed the backup camera as scheduled. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he charged me less than originally quoted because the job took less time than expected and I left satisfied. I did, however, notice a picture in picture feature that I didn’t like (took up a quarter of the screen) and tried to disable that option myself. After a certain amount of time reading the manual and not being able to figure it out, I called Car Audio Innovations and spoke with Jake, who happened to be the one who installed the backup camera. I explained to him the issue and he stated he will call the manufacturer for info and will get back to me the next business day. As promised, Jake called me back explaining that the issue can be resolved, according to the manufacturer, by switching out the Video Interface Module. Jake said he placed an order for that module and when it comes in, he will switch it out at no cost to me. Again, the work done by Car Audio Innovations was completed beyond my satisfaction and the issue was resolved at no additional cost. I am a true believer in getting what you paid for and the type of customer service and quality of work performed by Car Audio Innovations are worth much more than what I paid. I am an extremely satisfied customer and will bring in my other car to upgrade its sound system in the near future. The guys at Car Audio Innovations are experts in their craft and I highly...
Read moreRod and his crew spent a good amount of time on my Scion several years ago now when they were at their smaller shop. Quality of materials chosen, along with the attention to detail in the custom features, was second to none. My car was on the show circuit for several years where it always got high marks from judges in various stereo competitions and car shows. The system was also designed about sound quality. It rocks amazingly, but the whole package looks great too.
Today's world is unfortunately about who can deliver the goods at the lowest prices. This often burns you as my very first stereo install was done when I went to a $1 install place and had to take my car back all the time because the installation was horrendous. Parts used were inferior and I was just another car to get finished quickly. Almost 8 years later, nothing Rod and his crew installed has malfunctioned or broken. My advice is to pick high quality equipment and have it done right. The slightly extra cost compared to some no-name place is well worth it down the line when shoddy work doesn't become a problem.
As soon as I can figure out my current car situation, I want to have a new deck installed and I know...
Read moreStay awayrip off***charged me a 400% mark up on a bass knob while treating me like I'm an idiot. Never again I called before I went in. I have a skar audio rp2000.1 running 2-12s @1ohm. I was told over the phone those number were made up...I understand that for cheap brands but these are bench tested and not sure what this guy was talking about. So I went in to see about getting a fuse bc I blew my 150amp and fuse. I was told no1 uses anl fuses anymore but he had 1 in stock of 200amp. I don't know what this guys issue was that day or if it's just always like that. He also advised me he did not want to sell me a 200amp fuse for my 2000 watt amp bc it might cause a fire??? To top it off I decided to grab an extra bass knob. I go to look online later, they charged me $40 for a $10 bass knob. There are multiple reasons to never ever return here. And that's why that's the 1st car audio store I've ever been to. Wow. The cockiness and putting off and telling you you have no idea what you're talking about and trying to make you feel really stupid. Thanks for the rip off and bad business in...
