MGM Wine & Spirits — Local services in Roseville

What a great store! On Friday, February 14, I went with my daughter to this store. First of all, the employees there—as always—were incredibly nice and helpful. My daughter was particularly happy when they gave her a lollipop!

Secondly, the next morning I couldn't find my debit card. I looked everywhere for it and realized that the last place I had used it was at the MGM store. I went in right when the store opened and was sad to hear that it wasn't there. It was at this point that the manager, Liz, really went above and beyond—she figured out exactly when I was there and offered to go through the surveillance video record, see if I put my card back in my wallet, and call me when she was done.

Not long after this, she called me and let me know that I had put the card in a different part of my wallet—behind my driver's license, a place I would have never thought to look. In doing so, she saved me stress, time, and the hassle of having to cancel a card.

What's more, when I went in to thank her in person and to ask if there was an owner or office I could contact in order to praise her, she humbly said that I should just write a review on Google.

On top of the great employees, I'm always pleased with the beer tastings on Fridays and with their constantly improving...

Shopping at a liquor store is generally a rare occasion for me. I just don't drink alcohol very much. However, I do like to keep some alcoholic beverages on hand for the occasional need of a shot of whiskey to take care of a persistent cough and/or scratchy throat for medicinal purposes (I'm allergic to many OTC and prescription drugs).

It's also nice to have a little mead (fermented honey) with a nice dinner at home, once in a while, or a cold light beer with lunch on a hot summer day.

Since I recently ran out of the usual alcoholic beverages, and I was near the MGM liquor store in Roseville on Larpentuer, thought it was a good time to stop in for a little light shopping there.

With a wide selection of items on the shelves, and many varied prices from too expensive for me to reasonable ones, I was able to stay within my tight budget. The staff were very helpful in helping me find what I needed. They were friendly and professional.

This is a top notch liquor store. They probably have the staff with the overall best customer service of any retail store in the Twin Cities. Always friendly, always helpful, and very knowledgable. For a medium size store, they have a great selection of items, we found Pimms and an obscure British gin we were looking for. I walked in the other day just for ice and one employee rang me up politely and told me to have a nice day and the other gave me a friendly greeting and told me to have a nice day when I walked past him on my way out.
