It’s Saturday March 18 at possibly 7:50 PM my wife when I’m in order for herself upon waiting for me if you ordered for me I have to use the restroom. They told her the the restroom was out of order. They told her if she needed to go there bad to go to Hobby lobby. I had a bad experience here before years ago I know you don’t remember me, but this message is for the owner is still the same owner without down and we converse, great owner, horrible employees she wanted food out of there, but I remember our past experience and I seen I was right I remember the last time I was in there the manager was upset because one of the import is the word for forking out front. It was about a half hour to an hour before closing and he let us sit down and eat that right there was enough for me, but I guarantee you this is my last time coming here. I know employees in these difficult times are hard to fine, but sometimes we both know it’s not about location you could train them a certain way but sometimes the training can go right out the window. My wife just informed me that she brought my food out and one of your employees called her a B.I.T.C.H. and please don’t think it’s a race thing because it’s not she’s white I’m black so we’re getting that out-of-the-way right now. I was brought up not to see but I can guarantee you they do meeting your employees. I’ve been around too long and I’m telling you...
Read moreI enjoyed stopping to eat at Charley’s. I was entertained, first of all, by the notice on the wall telling me all about the history of Charley’s. It regaled me with a tale of a man on a journey to New York City during which he took a wrong turn off the highway and ended up in Philadelphia. I can commiserate. The notice told me about how Charley then stopped for lunch and, as luck would have it, sat down to a tasty Philly Steak. He then set about opening a Philly Steak restaurant of his own.
The selections on the menu are varied and delicious. They include Teriyaki chicken and a Jalapeno choice, both of which I sampled for my first visit to Charley’s. The drinks are cold and fresh as well. Service was bright and interested. The restaurant is clean, well lit and has interesting views either of the outside of the mall, the interior of the mall and the interior of the restaurant. It is a very busy place but service is swift. The quality of the food and the taste of their dishes is really enjoyable. It may look like a fast food or quick sandwich place, and you do get your sandwiches quickly, but there is definitely some artistry going on in this place.
It’s definitely my place to stop for lunch when I am in or near Macomb Mall in...
Read moreWow! Awful. Not sure it is possible to make more errors upon the order of a single sandwich, fries, and a drink. Only good thing to be said about the experience is the young lady taking orders was polite and appeared competent, and the lemonade she served was quite good. Unfortunately, the sandwich was quite the wrong sandwich, and the fries were equally incorrect. There was recognizable beef on the bread, but it was overcooked to the point of beyond dry to nearly burned, and the mushrooms and green peppers I was promised and had anticipated were completely absent. The fries were also not what I ordered, and although the sauce they were drenched in was tolerable, the half cooked soggy grease stick potato slices were not. I watched the guy behind the counter wrap my order and call my number, and when I went to collect it, I asked him to verify the order number, which he did accurately. So, good job to the girl taking orders, but although there were a number of other staff members working behind that counter, the rest of them appeared distracted or apathetic at best, or perhaps something even worse. Impossible to know for sure. Overpriced, and awful. Worst of all possibilities....
