My daughter had her senior prom this past weekend. I always told her that for her senior prom, we’d go all out! We went to every, “big name,” dress stores in the area. What we experienced were dirty dresses, frayed laces on the corsets of the dresses, (all expected to be bought off the rack), and poor customer service. My daughter was upset as she is a teenager who couldn’t seem to fit into her, “typical,” size dresses. We left one of the more popular stores as my daughter cried. I googled stores in the area and found Ginger Lily. As we walked in, we were greeted by the kindest woman, Lisa, the owner. As we sat down and discussed our wants in a dress, my daughter began to cry. We both felt extremely defeated and hopeless. Lisa ensured, even promised my daughter that she would find her, her dream dress and not to worry. We came back the next day. Lisa had stayed up late, researching dresses and had a folder filled with ideas. Lo and behold, my daughter found a dress that checked all the boxes and more!! We didn’t buy the dress off of the rack- no, it was special ordered direct and shipped to Lisa within 4 days. When Lisa called to inform us the dress was in, we went to the store as soon as we could. When we arrived to pick it up, Lisa had stayed awake all night, steaming each layer of the dress and the layers were endless!! It was gorgeous, perfect, and fit my daughter like a glove! While the dress was absolutely beautiful and one of a kind, what stands out to us most, was Lisa. She takes being an owner to another level. The dedication and passion for her store and career really shown through! She went above and beyond and is running this store all by herself! Her customer service isn’t just to make money, she has a true, vested interest in the happiness of her customers. Her knowledge regarding dresses and their brands, was phenomenal. She devoted her private time to finding my daughter this dress, and that is something we didn’t experience ANYWHERE else! We didn’t feel like 1 of many customers- we were made to feel special and valuable to her. Lisa showcases the epitome of loving your job! I had the absolute BEST experience at this bridal shop. Lisa was over the top nice, and was extremely hospitable. She was flexible with my schedule, and even opened early and stayed late just so I could get the full experience. She immediately made me feel so comfortable, and I just felt at home. Lisa really listened to my wants, and payed close attention to my reactions when trying on dresses. She helped me figure out what style of dress I liked, as well as the material and fit that looked best on me. I appreciated that she was never trying to push me to buy from her, and just really wanted to make sure I enjoyed my bridal experience. I came into the store and loved it already. The owner was so sweet, patient, and understanding. We walked in and she was nothing but smile and laughs. She makes u feel so comfortable and helps you pick the perfect dress for ur night. I browsed through the prom dresses in the books and seen one I really loved. You don’t have to worry about everyone wearing your dress because she makes sure that is only your dress. When I came to pick it up yesterday I fell in love with how it fit. I never felt better in an emerald green dress, even though it was my first time in the color.
