Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Ross Township

Okay this is bad news for Sam's Club, Costco, Myers and anyone else wants to step in this Arena. Without paying $40 to $110 membership there's Gordon's. This store specialize in big bulks like the other big name stores. This store does not seem to be scared of competition. There's big quantity items as well is smaller proportion items in this unit. There's household items, catering items, plates, forks spoons, frozen items & fresh items as well in big quantities. Yes this place is taking the big giant head on within numerous locations within the Chicago and northwest Indiana area. Good individual bathrooms as well as outstanding door to facility handicap parking. Even though this store does not sell (or at least in this location) Electronics or furniture, I will still consider Gordon's to be a serious threat in the bulk industry of household items and Catering. They're also pre orders and deliveries as well as business account to have even additional discounts on top of the non membership savings. I have been going to this location for over 3 decades. The quality of their products keeps me coming back. I recently bought a cart full of groceries there. I grabbed a box to load my groceries into and pushed my cart out to the foyer area where the carts are stored. I loaded the box and headed out to my car. I had inadvertently placed the box on top of one of my items and after I loaded the box I picked it up and left the cart with the item in the foyer. I got home and realized that I had made a blunder and headed back to buy the item I had left. I called the store as I was driving to the store and asked if someone by chance turned in the item. I was told no one had. When I walked in the store the cashier and a gentleman greeted me and he handed me the item I had forgotten. I expected to pay but he insisted that it was not necessary. When you put great customer service together with great products that is a winning combination. GFS...

I always like this place. The checkout girl asked if she could get a box for my purchases. Excellent customer service. If I’m searching for a product and ask someone working to restock the shelves I always get immediate assistance and they walk me to what I look for. I really like the fresh fruit and vegetables up front. I can look them over when I go into the store. On my way out I look again and purchase many items I’ve considered while in the aisle shopping. Where else can I conveniently pick up a large jar of pepperoncini peppers so conveniently? Or a large bag of Parmesan cheese? Large brick of Wisconsin cheese? This place is really good...
