Supermercado Mi Poblanita — Local services in Ross Township

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the closest grocery store to where we live, and the closest Mexican grocery store but beware that they don’t even store majority of all of their fresh produce at the right temperature, or anything that needs to be refrigerated for that matter. Me and my husband have been here a few times when we needed 1 or 2 missing ingredients in a pinch but they really barely have anything to begin with, its insanely tiny store and again they don’t have much. The last experience we had here however last night (9-25) is the icing on the cake for why we will not be back here though. We were missing sour cream and my husband shows me as soon as he takes the lid off, disgusting spoiled cream. Beware that almost all the good reviews on their page are about the restaurant in the back or the meat department rather than their actual produce or refrigerated items. Their fruits are usually over ripe. One day we went in and the door to their cooler where some of their drinks were was broken and did not fully close therefore nothing was staying cold at all in their anymore. This place...

OMG they have it all...found it by accident because we were actually going to a restaurant in the same plaza. Parking us really tight so we parked in front of the super mercado, and that's how we saw the sign for the tacos and burritos. We decided to go in there because little places like that usually have the best food. We were not disappointed!!! I got the steak tacos and my hubby got tripa tacos and steak tortas. They were excellent!!! Definitely going back. The meat at the counter looked excellent, the prices for the groceries were not super high like you'd think they'd be in a small store, and the homemade guacamole, salsa, cracklings, and other stuff has to be good cuz everyone was coming in to buy it...definitely going back!!!!!! Steak tacos were very dry and tasteless. Lengua tacos were okay, very soft as they should be but did not taste like anything. No salsa nor Lemons. You are better off going to a real Mexican restaurant. Pancho was the ONLY HAPPY person in this store. Everyone else and I mean everyone there was miserably unhappy. You get 3 stars because Pancho is very welcoming and very helpful. Pancho helped me find Mole and offered me everything they sold there. Pancho invited me back and told me about the hot food they sold on weekends. Pancho needs to train everyone in the store. I came in looking to buy Mole and spend maybe $10 but spent $100!
