Simon Sez Gyros — Restaurant in Ross Township

I've been going to this place for close to 10 years. Last week I took my granddaughter and we had ordered a ribeye sandwich and chicken strips but we did not want fries with our order. Instead we wanted the fries with cheese and bacon. I was told that the replacement for the fries that would have come with the sandwiches we would get the cheese and bacon fries. Today I sent my housekeeper to get gyros for her and myself. She returned with gyros that were half the size they normally are. When I called to ask questions about whether they're downsizing or raising their prices or whatever... The owner more or less was questioning my intelligence saying that they never sold gyros that big even after 10 years of buying them I was wrong. I wouldn't advise going there too often and if you do check your prices and check your food. Make sure you get what you're paying for. Check the thickness of the lamb...ours...

Life long resident, NEVER AGAIN customer! I've lived in the neighborhood about 3 minutes away from Simon Sez for over 30 years. I used to love these burgers, then on 2 separate occasions, the same employee started to prepare my food with her bare hands. The first time, she had been changing the trash when I walked in. The 2nd time, she took my payment before grabbing the food. We all know how dirty and germ filled money is. When I brought both of these incidents to the owner's attention, he acted like I was the one on the wrong. He yelled at me to take my business to McDonald's, Burger King or Portillo's. Great advice. That's what I've done ever since! Loyal customers and repeat business must not matter...

My first time here. I am constantly on the prowl for a better gyros, among other dishes. I think I may have found it! First impressions matter and Simon Sez checks that box well. The dining area and kitchen areas were immaculate. Christina and Dale greeted me with a genuine hearty and friendly welcome. I got the gyros plate with fries. Competitively priced and nice portions. The fries were hot, fresh, and golden. The gyros meat was cooked perfectly (not underdone or overdone). The Tzatziki was superb. Good amount of tomatoes, onions and meat to build 2 sandwiches with the 2 provided pitas, with meat to spare. Great experience! Job well done! I'll be back, Lord willing! Simon Sez, "check...
