I want to acknowledge the good customer service I have experienced at your location, as well as the times when the service has been lacking. Over the two decades I’ve been a customer, I’ve generally had positive experiences, which I’ve previously shared. However, there have been instances of intentionally unkind service that I have overlooked until now.
On my recent visit, my daughter and I were disappointed to experience unprofessional and unkind behavior. It was evident that certain customers were chosen to be greeted and assisted while others, including us, were ignored. We waited for over 15 minutes without any acknowledgment or communication from the staff. Conversations took place around us, yet we remained unnoticed and unacknowledged. We left without purchasing.
This experience was particularly disheartening because I have always enjoyed visiting your store, sampling the chocolate, nuts, and trail mix, and purchasing and gifting them for various occasions and holidays. Unfortunately, due to the poor service today, we may not be returning.
Good customer service is rare across many businesses, but it is still possible to find excellent service within certain businesses. I hope this feedback helps your Albanese location make the necessary improvements. Life is short and I do not have the time or patience for any type of negativity or inconsideration towards me as a customer or individual overall, especially when I'm spending my hard earned money, be it a small or large amount.

Read moreWe love Albanese gummies! I have been stopping at the other location for years, whenever I'm in the area. But I won't go back to this store anytime soon. The employees are super friendly and the candy assortment is fantastic. But they aren't enforcing physical distancing by limiting how many people can be inside at once. It's absolutely impossible to stay 6 feet away from other patrons because everyone is just wandering around at will and there are far too many people inside. Plus, I saw an employee open a bin of unwrapped candy while another patron was standing directly over the bin talking. How many times do you think that happens a day?! [Note they have red tape around the candy bins that presumably measures 6 feet from the employees, but it's only two feet away from the candy bins the emplyees have to open and no one is asking people to stay on the otherside of the line anyway]
There could be an efficient, organized, enforced system inside the store. They could also offer ordering online or by phone as an option for people who aren't comfortable with their set-up (they made a note on Yelp in May that this was available but there is no mention of this on the website and I don't recall a sign outside. I placed an order with this company for a friend's birthday. After waiting 9 days, I decided to call the company to see where my order was? They informed me that they made a "mistake" on their end and would get processing my order right away, but unfortunately, wouldn't be able to mail it for another 4 days, because they need to freeze my order???
Because the order wasn't going to show up on time now, they offered to get it faster to me if I wanted to pay more for "overnight shipping" rather than cover it themselves for their mistake.
I did what any reasonable person would do - and canceled my order. At which point, the sales person told me it would be faster to wait for my order to arrive than to get a refund? She said it will take 7-10 business. Interesting how that works out. They take your money, don't deliver a product or service, then hold your money hostage for weeks on end.
