I have never been treated so poorly at a Target store as I was today at the location at 1135 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075. My seven-year-old son found a Pokemon Mega Construx set on the self in the toy section. It was the only one, so we used a store price checker to make sure we knew how much it was. The price checker displayed a price of $14.89. We took the toy to the self-checkout and it rang up $21.99. I informed the attendant, who scanned the toy with the Target app on his mobile device. It rang up $19.99. He then called an associate from toys on his radio, and was informed that there was no price tags in that section (where the toy was located) that read $14.89. The associate then said that they “didn’t know” why the scanner would say a different price. The self-checkout attendant offered it to us at $19.99. I did not find this satisfactory, as the price indicated by the in-store price checker was still about $5.00 cheaper. I then asked if someone could walk back and scan the item as I had to confirm the price I was quoted by the machine. Another associate was called over. She also started out by telling me they could do $19.99. I had to request, yet again, to have someone walk to a price checker to confirm what I had seen. She agreed to do so, but advised me that the other item I was buying (an item on clearance that there was only one of in the store) had to stay up front, even though I hadn’t paid for it. I was obviously upset and annoyed at the situation. I put the item where she requested and I said something to the effect of “it better be here when we get back”. She (the associate) then snapped back at me and said for me not to use that tone with her and that if I wasn’t going to show her respect, then we “could forget the whole transaction”. Again, I was upset at the situation, but I never raised my voice, swore, or said anything negative about/toward her. I’m sure that I seemed upset, but that is completely understandable in this situation. My children (my seven-year-old and ten-year-old sons) agree that I did not raise my voice (they have told me when I have in the past). They even said she was talking to me like she was my mother. After being embarrassed by this associate in front of other Target customers and my children, we went back to the same price checker, where the toy displayed a price of $14.89. She escorted us to the front of the store, where she checked us out with the toy in question, and the item I left up front at her request. A request involving an incorrect price should never have become this escalated. During this interaction, I feel like I was accused of lying (about the price) and personally attacking a Target employee (by the associate who claimed I had a tone). This is completely unacceptable, especially when no one ever apologized about the incorrect price and the hoops I had to jump through to make sure my child wasn’t being taken advantage of by bait-and-switch...
Read moreStore is best target I have every shopped or worked inside, I shop shipt and Instacart been coming into this store on a reg for almost 2 months now, but this morning I had a SHADY OCCURRENCE.
Most times I’m here shopping more than one order for customers so I have a cooler bag for cold items etc… I asked a wonderful girl in makeup for a certain perfume shown on website she went outback an came back with one I was so happy ( it for my friend bday ) I started to finish my shopping for the customer when I walked away from my cart and it strangely went missing from the area I left it. I started panicking and asking around and employee who were def helpful. But then I ended up getting to the manager… he was not in any way worried he looked at me like I was lying about someone walking off with my cart and bag and wallet… afterujkkm u mmme looking and him basically ducking around he said he would go check cameras but he was POSITIVE no one would touch my cart , I remember thinking how can u work in this service and say that?
Long story short I walked away and went back to find my cart out back, I also later realized the perfume I was given suddenly had a red light blinking that was not before. I wasn’t worried course I’ll buy it and they will take it off ,, my problem is the manager knew what was going on… either one of his employees or under covers that work for the store took my cart and walked off just to go trip thr perfume alarm ,
Once i realized This I quickly put any items I was buying back and will no longer spend my personal money there. YEA I HAVE A BAG and they are ALWAYS WELCOME TO ASK TO LOOK INSIDE OR WHATEVER THEY NEED TO.. but to sneak off with my cart and have me freaking out while they wanna go Thru my things is just NOT RIHT I kno this might sound crazy but it’s def what went down and shame on the manager for Allowing that type of stuff to go On. No one should ever TOUCH someone bag and wallet like that.
A shame because I was buying a 100$...
Read moreUpdate: Checkout satisfaction continues to deteriorate. The store seems to not have any type of training for the the cashiers in how they bag your groceries. You can line up all your stuff perfectly on the belt only to find all the cold stuff split up, raw meats on top of your fruit, and your bread squished under bananas. This place also discontinued the cheese and deli meat deal. Their only real draw now is the 5% discount with the Redcard. If not for that, I'd go somewhere else.
Deli staff is always curtious and I've never had an issue with long lines there. You get a free half pound of cheese with each pound and a half of meats.
Checkout lines are a little annoying in that there are 24 of them and only 4 or 5 ever seem to be open. Cashiers seem genuinely perturbed by you asking for paper rather than plastic and I see them sigh whenever I bring my reusable bags. If you end up going with plastic, prepare to have only two or three items in each bag. I hear the Earth sob whenever I go plastic and do a lot of shopping.
The produce is fine, but you'll find better at full-focused grocery stores. Super Targets are one-stop, so you can get both you grocery and misc shopping with one store. It's a time saver, so whatever your priorities are.
Still I prefer this place over Publix, which is always too crowded, or Kroger, which feels too small. And Wal-Mart is always...
