I recently had an extremely uncomfortable experience at Roxbury AFC due to the behavior of one particular employee (African American Man). As a patient, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, but unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit.
The employee in question consistently interrupted and screamed at the staff members while I was present. Not only did this create a disruptive and tense atmosphere, but it also made me and my child feel incredibly uneasy. It is unacceptable for an employee to display such unprofessional behavior in a healthcare setting.
The interruptions and shouting not only affected the staff's ability to focus on their duties but also made it difficult for me to communicate my concerns and needs effectively. This lack of professionalism directly impacted the quality of care I received during my visit.
I believe that maintaining a calm and respectful environment is crucial, especially in a healthcare setting where patients are often already dealing with stress and anxiety. The behavior of this employee not only detracted from the overall experience but also compromised the trust and confidence I had in the facility.
I sincerely hope that the management of AFC takes this matter seriously and addresses the issue promptly. Patients should feel safe, comfortable, and respected during their visits, and incidents like the one I encountered undermine the reputation and credibility of the facility.
I urge the management to investigate this employee's conduct thoroughly and take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Improving the professionalism and behavior of the staff will go a long way in creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients.
In conclusion, my experience at AFC was marred by the rude and disruptive behavior of an employee. I would caution potential patients to consider this potential patients to consider this aspect before choosing this facility for their healthcare needs.

Read moreThe front desk is super friendly! However the nurse practitioner Lane, seriously needs to check his attitude and body language. Heâs arrogant and rude, definitely needs to learn how compassion and respect works towards patients. The check in process is was good too, I would double check which doctor is there before you go because if itâs âLaneâ go somewhere else! Heâs the worst medical professional Iâve ever come in contact with!!! Update: the owners response was off, I never said that either patient seen had pneumonia, the responses when I addressed the disrespectful tone by him was â I donât appreciate you telling me how to do my jobâ The nasty tone in combination with his body language was what prompted me to leave the review. Not the refusal to give antibiotics. I went and spoke as a concerned family member and informed him that the virus currently in my house was treated with antibiotics and working. For the record my tone started off nice with him but his snarky attitude towards my concerns is what escalated the situation and the sarcastic âHave a Happy New Yearâ was just the icing on the cake. Also he never asked either patient seen if anyone else was sick in the house. A common question most doctors ask. I did say the person at the front desk was very friendly and the place was clean. However, based on my conversation with the actual treating provider, and the only concern that the administration had was a negative review just shows exactly what type of...
Read moreSuch a disappointment! My first time going as it is the closest urgent care near me and yikes. I went in a couple of days ago with high fevers and trouble breathing for about 4 days. Mind you, I am 30 weeks pregnant and I wanted to see what was wrong. Iâm already limited to medications due to pregnancy but Tylenol was not helping at all and wanted to see if there was something more. Front desk was very nice, but once I got into the room, and told my reason for visit, I had the feeling I wasnât going to be taken serious. And like I predicted, it was a quick hi and bye from the provider saying âcontinue taking Tylenol and hydrate.â She only checked my lungs and my ears, but not my throat or my glands. But my main concern was always my shortness of breath that I havenât experienced before and I feel like they did not care. My pulse was high and that should be an indication of something. I work at an urgent care as well and went back to work, felt extremely shortness of breathe doing the tiniest things, and I was finally seen by one of the providers at my urgent care. They seen my high pulse as a red flag to something and they ordered a chest xray. And turns out I have pneumonia!!! If I knew this from the time I had my visit at AFC, I couldâve already been on treatment for days and actually feel better. But AFC felt rushed and they misdiagnosed me! Doctor seemed like she didnât care at all. Extremely horrendous first...
