After recently purchasing a new home that was much larger than the previous one I needed all new furniture. Beyond that I needed an elevated look - one that would do my new house justice, honor the style that it is and give the feeling that each piece was not only wonderful but born to be in the space it occupied. I am a twenty year plus customer of Suburban Furniture but it was only until this past year and a half that I worked with their design (Ali) AND sales (Suzie) services teams together. These two women are truly the definition of a dynamic duo. It had been years since I had new furniture and it was my first time working with Suzie who, in turn, introduced us to Ali. I had always felt like I had a handle on the way I furnished my previous home but this new home is the dream home and Suzie and Ali truly are my dream team. In my head the task seemed a little daunting. How do I furnish my entire home in a way that looks like every piece was meant to be and honor the scale of the rooms, the color schemes that I wanted to keep from the previous owners, etc.? This is where it made total sense to take advantage of Suburban's design services through Ali. We clicked immediately with her and Suzie. They came to our home and went through every room, taking measurements, both excited about all these ideas they had of what could work. It was no small task and they even happily dealt with the mess we still had of moving in - working around boxes, unpacked items that hadn't yet found a spot, etc. It was an instant sense of relief working with them. I felt like I was in the right hands from both the sales and design aspects of this project. They hear you and they understand your needs. Not only were they fantastic with us they are just so lovely to see as a team. When people work that well together and appreciate each other's talents you really can't help but be excited what they have planned for you. You can't fake harmony like that - it either exists or it doesn't. For the small fee that we paid to have such intricate, high-level design advice it would have been foolish not to take advantage of it. The amount of hours and time it took for Ali to draw up plans, show us multiple options for EACH room and for both her and Suzie to sit with us in the showroom going through bundles of swatches and color combinations - I am just so appreciative and respectful of the time and expertise that was given to us. Anyone questioning the design service offering let me put you at ease, you are getting full blown interior design services that you will not find anywhere else and you get the fee back when you make the purchase. Both Ali and Suzie told me horror stories of how many hours they spent with people who would come in, partake of their expertise only to not take it seriously. These are respected, trusted experts who know what they are talking about - I can't imagine anyone wanting to walk away with an idea that ultimately ends up being free anyway when you make a purchase. I am in awe and totally respectful of who I have in my corner to help me achieve my interior design goals. I wouldn't go to anyone else. They have my loyalty. Ali spent a ton of time with us AND behind the scenes to create the most beautiful palettes for each room. She worked with existing colors and pieces that we were passionate about and came up with the most gorgeous ways to implement everything for a perfectly curated look. A home shouldn't look like it came out of a box and they get that. I wish that anyone going into Suburban would realize the value of the services they were receiving. Ali is a designer by trade and by heart. Between Suzie and Ali it is never about selling an item as much as it is about getting you the right items to make your home a reflection of who you are and to make the spaces look high end in whatever your definition of that may be. I cannot dream of working with anyone else - they are two amazing women who know what they are doing and make you excited about achieving exactly what you envision...
Read moreMy wife and I, when purchasing furniture, typically stick the to big chain stores. We were looking for a new kitchen table and decided to google furniture stores near us. To our surprise we found Suburban furniture at the top of the list with 4.8 stars and over a thousand reviews so we figured we would check them out. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Michael, one of the sales associates. He was super friendly asked us if we needed help. We told him we were looking at kitchen tables and pointed us in the right direction. He was super informative and knew the products well. They had a great selection ranging from all different price ranges with the quality appearing to be top notch. Michael was thorough in breaking down the cost of the table and chairs and explaining the discount to us. No hidden fees or tricks and Michael was not pushy at all. We told him we still wanted to check out another furniture store and he said no problem and told us we can call and even place the order over the phone so we did not have to travel back to the physical store. After checking with the next store there was no comparison with the quality from Suburban so I called him later on that evening and placed the order in less than 10 minutes. The best part of it all was EVERYTHING IS IN STOCK! I will be getting the table and chairs 2 days after ordering and not 10 months like a lot of other stores. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for any furniture and I would highly recommend...
Read moreI purchased an entertainment stand from suburban furniture and Iâm happy with the service provided from my sales rep and delivery driver. They were both helpful, wonderful and pleasant. However, itâs important for me to note that I was not satisfied with how I paid $99 for delivery and they tell you when they can deliver. Apparently for my area, you can only deliver on Wednesday or Saturday and those are both days I work. If it werenât for my mom being around, I would have had to take off work for a delivery that I paid for. This was frustrating as itâs a service Iâm paying for and I wasnât able to be there to make sure the piece I ordered was correct, if it had any damage, etc. If youâre going to charge $99 on a delivery for a piece I paid $400+ for then you might want to take note that the customer would like to be there for the delivery. Telling me when you can deliver and it only being the same 2 days a week wasnât very helpful. I donât see why another day wasnât an option for your customers. Although I appreciated the sales rep & my mom relayed the driver was kind and all, it will be unlikely that I am a return customer for those reasons. I need a furniture store to be able to be convenient and a little more flexible than just 2 days a week. They were also looking to charge me over $300+ for it to be delivered to where Iâm actually moving so this was only the halfway point. For them to deliver another 30 minutes wouldâve cost me as much as the entire piece of furniture which is...
