Sushi Hana — Restaurant in Roxbury Township

Amazing place. When we moved into the area, we tried to find places to eat where we can have the same experience or better as we have when we lived in our old house. One of such places became Sushi Hana, because of numerous successful visits and it was great experience from the start. They have two rooms, Hibachi and regular Sushi, as they call it. We tried food from both, but never set in Hibachi room, which seems nice, but very loud at times due to music, partying and screaming, but the sushi room is wonderful and we have been there at least 25 or more visits.

The food is amazing and we have tried numerous rolls, appetizers, specials and Hibachi which they bring to the regular room as well. All was tasty, well made and the service is wonderful as well. Our favorites are Godzilla Roll, Grasshopper Roll and Orange Dragon, but we have also tried their Maki rolls, Naruto roll and many others, which were well made, fresh and absolutely delicious. Sometimes, due to other businesses in the plaza, the parking lot in the front gets filled up, but not to worry, because there is plenty of room in the back parking lot and you can enter the place through the back door as well, via Hibachi room and then make your way to the front of the place.

UPDATE: Decided to try a take out during Covid pandemic and the food is fresh, tastes as we remember and service is very organized...

I’ve been coming here for years and whether it’s takeout or dining in, I’m never ever disappointed! The owners and employees are very nice and always on the ball. The sushi is the freshest you can get anywhere, hands down. The assorted sashimi is one of my standby dishes and I love the sushi/sashimi platter- both are great “shareable” dishes. Try the deep fried soft shell crab with ponzu sauce as an appetizer...it’s spectacular. The spicy tuna roll is delicious and if you ask for a side of spicy mayo for dipping, you’ll be in heaven. If you have room for dessert, the banana tempura is excellent. In the mood for hibachi? You can’t go wrong but you’ve gotta sit at the hibachi table on the other side for the complete experience haha. What’s unique about Sushi Hana’s hibachi table is that you get your FULL PORTION of what you order, regardless of the other parties at the table. I’ve been to other hibachi grills and it’s disappointing that often, some of your order is sacrificed when everything is divvied up. Not here- you get what you ordered in full and nothing less. There’s a reason this restaurant has withstood the test of time in a competitive area and market. Keep on doing what you’re doing SH! Thank you for always making my experience...

Ugh. So frustrating. We had reservations for 645 and our cook did not start until 815!!!!! Yes they apologized for being short cooks and gave us free edamame after complaining but they knew they did not have staff but continued to cram in the bookings anyway. Just not right. The food was good but the sodas were flat so they were bringing out cans but they knew this and didn’t give cans until we asked as they said other people were saying that too. Food portions were so small complained to what we all Know as hibatchi and leftovers especially for the high price. Everything was smaller and less quantity. Only soup no salad. Only yum yum sauce, no Ginger sauce, Ig you wanted noodles along with rice it was an extra $4. Just wow the whole experience. We will NOT go back there. Terrible management and I felt really bad for the workers running around like nuts. That is not right and not fair! I hope the owner reads this and cares because what you allowed to happen is wrong. 1 1/2 hour start after reservations were made. I would suggest doing better if you want to remain open. Your overall quality did not live up to your prices and...
