I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Todd’s Menswear with my son for his homecoming suit and I cannot express enough how fantastic my experience was, thanks in large part to the outstanding assistance provided by John Steinberger.
From the moment we walked into the store, we were warmly greeted by John who immediately made my son feel comfortable and at ease. His friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm were evident right away.
John displayed an impressive knowledge of the different suit styles, colors, and fits. He took the time to understand my son’s preferences. It usually takes my son hours to decide, but John’s insightful questions and guidance helped him choose a suit he was happy with in under 30 minutes.
What truly sets John apart is his impeccable sense of style. He not only guided us through suit styles but also offered advice on pairing a tie to complete the look. By asking key questions about his date’s dress color, he suggested a tie that would both compliment his suit color and the color of her dress. It was evident that he has a keen eye for fashion and a genuine passion for helping customers look their best.
The level of customer service we received from John was exceptional. He made the entire experience not only informative but also enjoyable. In today's world, where exceptional service can be hard to come by, I believe that John is a true gem. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine desire to help customers shine are qualities that deserve recognition. I would highly recommend Todd’s Menswear and John Steinberger to anyone in search of a high-quality suit and a memorable shopping experience.

Read moreMy fiancé, our groomsmen, and I had an extremely frustrating experience with Todd’s. On June 26th, we were promised and GUARANTEED 12 light blue groomsmen suits. However, we soon began receiving calls urging us to have all the groomsmen submit their measurements urgently, as there was a chance the suits might not arrive on time. Our groomsmen adjusted their work schedules and rushed to get their measurements in, only to find that the suits were ultimately unavailable.
To make matters worse, several groomsmen had their sizes recorded incorrectly. I had to visit the store multiple times to ensure the measurements were accurate, and one of our groomsmen’s measurements was lost entirely. On July 13th, I went in to select another suit option and was constantly talked over when I requested a discount for the inconvenience. I still went against my gut and gave them the benefit of the doubt.
When the replacement suits arrived, none of them fit our groomsmen properly. The material was subpar, the craftsmanship was poor, and the suits were ill-fitting, even for those who were measured at Todd’s. For instance, one groomsman tried on two "40R" jackets, and the sizing was completely inconsistent. My fiancé tried to resolve the issue over the phone, but encountered the same unhelpful response—constant interruptions, denial of fault, and blame placed on us for the sizing errors. On July 24th, I returned each and every single one of the suits, leaving my fiancé and I with only five weeks to figure out groomsmen suits before...
Read moreI asked a Michigan Brides Facebook group for recommendations for men's suits other than the big stores like men's warehouse...overwhelmingly recommended was Todd's Menswear , so we checked them out... We went today and WOW!! I will be recommending them to ANYONE and EVERYONE! They had so many choices, John helped us and I couldn't quite find the color blue I was imagining, we had two picked out and when I told him I wanted a color in the middle of the two but wasn't finding it, he said "I think I have what you want, let me go grab it from the back" sure enough... It was perfect. We left today with a 3 piece suit, shirt, belt, tie, and shoes for just under $250. That's AMAZING. The rental we were quoted at the big brand places didn't include vest, belt, or shoes and was about $275. We have two groomsmen out of state too, John told us what measurements they would need and said he would take care of them, shipping would be whatever they were charged, no mark ups. He explained they are a family owned business and while they can't please everyone... They sure try to.
It was over an hour drive for us... But it was so worth it. My FH now has a suit we both love, new shoes, a new belt... For less than we were planning on renting for... AND we got to support a family MICHIGAN based business. I hope this review will encourage even more support for...
