Five Below — Local services in Royal Palm Beach

Tonight, I picked up a Santa hat, reindeer ears, and some lip/eye liners. Shortly after, I went to another store and found the exact same items at a cheaper price. So, I returned to the Five Below store to make a return . The manager was called to authorize the return, which was fine.

She picked up the four pencils and lip liners and said, "These are open!" I replied, "Okay, that’s how I bought them." She insisted, "But they are open." It had been less than 25 minutes since I left the store. I told her to walk to the back of the store, check the other pencils, and let me know if they were open or sealed because I was pretty sure most of those pencils were sold unsealed.

Regardless, I have no reason to open a liner pencil, use it, and then return it. Jennifer proceeded to give me attitude and argue until I asked her if she would have treated the lady behind me the same way. IYKYK.

I get it—Jennifer is probably overworked and underpaid, but the customer service was definitely lacking. There’s a way to handle situations like this. In the end, she authorized my return, but it really put a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll be visiting other Five Below stores...

A very well organized store with friendly staff. Always welcoming! The selection is surprisingly good quality for the price. The store is spotless with so much to choose from… everything from school supplies, lots of art supplies, toys, books, makeup, toiletries, clothes, candy, cards, gift bags, pet supplies, electronic accessories, fitness equipment and so much more! I've only been here a few times, but it's always been a good experience. An employee greets me upon entry everytime and they help me find whatever I'm looking for right away. It's clean inside, and they have a lot of different stuff, from electronics to pet accessories and more. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 starts is because of how unorganized everything is.
