Humane Society of Lincoln County Resale Shop and Animal Shelter — Local services in Ruidoso

My daughter's 15 year old dog (her best friend) had to be put down less than a week before her 26th b-day. She had owned him since she was 14 yrs old. I took her down to the humane society for her to choose her next bestie...sbe found one to take home. Meanwhile, I was visiting all the other animals, giving every one a pet and verbal compliments. I almost came home with a LARGE bullmastiff. Unfortunately she was female which my Rescue Pitt will not put up with. Then I entered the cat room and just as with the dogs, I pet & spoke to every one. Then I found my baby that I could not leave without. See the picture she's beautiful, crazy & drives the Pitt & geriatric cats nuts, but I love her anyway. I'm hoping that my health is better next summer so that I can volunteer in some capacity. They always need volunteersànd donations such as blankets, toys...

We can go anywhere right now, Roswell, Alamogordo, Carrizozo. Walk into any one of the thrift shops, say you’re from Ruidoso and they welcome you with open arms. They tell you to take anything you need. I called ahead to the thrift shop by the humane society. They said yes please come here. We get there. The kids found a few things. We walked up to the counter, oh you’re fire victims you can’t have that stuff you have to go dig in the back room. My own village just turned their back on me. Ruidoso is NOT what it used to be. I’m grateful for all the help my family has gotten. This was heartbreaking. I have donated, adopted, purchased from this store. Never again. Received a blanket “apology” explanation that just...

Very expensive for a thrift store, the quality of item was not better than any other thrift store. And I thrift a lot for resale purposes online. They had a cute cute jacket though I tried it on and I couldn't figure out why the employee the manager was staring at me the way she was and when I got out of my car at my hotel my jacket was on inside out so rather than say something to me they let me walk around like that and looked at me I thought it was not very nice I wouldn't recommend this store to people the Roswell humane society thrift store is way friendlier and I found a full length wool coat in there for $5 not 100 like they wanted for their phone...
