These guys were INCREDIBLE!!!! They really made my wedding an even more memorable day. I cannot help but sing these guys praises. Iveley and his team of entertainers are highly professional, highly experienced and with ease, they had a big hand in making our special day most memorable.

I had a hard time finding the right MC/DJ duo for my wedding in August 2021 but then I came across Iveley at MixInItUp Events. First of all, Iveley was amazing. We had the most easy-going phone consultation and I knew I didn’t want to look any further and that I found my guys. Everything Iveley said was on point with what we wanted for our wedding. He was easy to communicate with from the beginning. There was no rush, he was willing to explain anything I didn’t understand and was the perfect guide in helping me piece together what we wanted accomplished for the wedding. He was very thorough and was big on details which assured me that I was in good hands.

I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Iveley and he was pure professionalism. Our MC/DJ duo was Frank and Marlon..oh where do I get started… we couldn’t ask for a better pair. They work so well together, creating a seamless outcome of our event. My husband stressed to me how he wanted a MC who would be entertaining and lively, keep everyone going and we got just that. Frank was very likeable guy. He was energetic, friendly, funny and engaging. He fit so perfectly in with our crowd that guests asked if Frank and my husband knew each other. Frank kept checking in with me, making me at ease and ran things past us to see if we were on the same page with everything. He made everyone so comfortable, addressed our guests by names and took control of the crowd with ease. He is an entertainer in true form. Marlon was in the background but his mixing was flawless, he read the room well knowing when to play what. He stuck to our playlist and followed our request of no guest requests unless it was run by us first.

At the end of the wedding, I knew for any future events I wanted MixInItUp Events to be there and my family agreed. They are still talking about them and the time they had months after. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. From the consultation with Iveley to the end of the wedding with big hugs and best wishes, these guys had our best interest and wanted to make sure we had an incredible experience with them and that is...

I am super late in writing this review, it has been many months since my January wedding but there is no way I could not leave this vendor a review. If I could give MixN It up 6 stars I would!

The entire process from beginning to end was seamless with Ively. He uses a really cool app that asks you every detail of your wedding and then reviews it with you prior to ensure he understands every single note. I will admit, I was nervous that some of the things we spoke about would be ignored like “play this song at 0:35” seconds because they were super specific details that would go over anyone’s head. But boy was I wrong, Ively remembered every little detail of what we spoke about, which just goes to show his level of professionalism in this space.

His setup and extra add ons are exactly as shown/described. We had the mirror booth, sparklers and cloud dancing and everything was 100% perfection. Nothing went wrong, nothing malfunctioned, and we enjoyed every moment of it all. We also included an MC in our package and he was great with communicating to our spanish speaking family as well.

As far as the music, we gave him some suggestions but also creative freedom to use his expertise. My husband and I don’t regret that decision at all, he played a wide range of music that kept all of the age groups in our wedding entertained. He even had the dance floor packed with a conga line, 10 minutes after we opened the dance floor!

So I cant say enough great things about our experience. I had met Ively about 6 years ago when he was dj'ing at one of the local places we would go to. Moving from Jersey City to Sussex County there wasn't many places that had live music (that didn't play country-no shade, just not our taste) So when Isiah and I got engaged we had originally decided on a destination wedding however, due to a family illness, we decided to have our ceremony and reception at my in-laws. Being that we were moving into our first house together and paying for our wedding completely on our own, finance were a concern but bad music/entertainment was a bigger one. I had asked Ively to DJ our wedding- I gave him some parameters of what we wanted and he absolutely killed it! He not only took care of our wedding song and dedications but he made sure the requests were within certain guidelines (again, no country) He was more then affordable, extremely generous of his time and has one of the best ears for music...To this day people still say its one of the best weddings they have been to. Not because it was anything lavish but mostly because of the the music and of course the people. We also had asked him to stay a couple hours longer and Ively totally accommodated us without any hesitation. I would highly recommend him and also would recommend his amazing fiance, Lauren, who I have known even longer---and I can definitely attest to her tremendous Bartending skills as well. My expectations were blown away and I am hoping he will also DJ our 5 year wedding anniversary...
