First let me start off by saying I am the most computer illiterate person to occupy planet Earth! I had a hard drive failure on my Dell computer. I called all around where I live and got the runaround from all of the local computer repair shops. I finally decided to bring my computer to Best Buy and have Geek Squad take a look at it. While I was there waiting to drop off my computer a man in front of me was arguing with the Geek Squad representative in front of me. Apparently this man had a hard drive issue also and was arguing with the Geek Squad representative over the price of $450 that he was being charged for labor alone in replacing a hard drive and they lost all his data on top of that at that point I turned around and walked out the door. I was very frustrated and was scrolling through Facebook when I saw an article and a good friend of mine's page that had an article about running from the computer tutor. I called up my friend and asked her about Scott and the computer tutor if she recommended him. Not only did she recommend him but she personally endorsed him knowing how I am with computers. And that's where my life with computers has changed. I traveled 65 miles to bring my computer to Scott and I will do it again in a heartbeat! Scott explained everything and the greatest of details understanding my situation with computers. I had a couple issues after the repair nothing to do with his work but my own ignorance and called Scott and he immediately called me back remotely got on the computer with me and guided me through explaining every step of the way what I needed to do. His prices are very very reasonable. His knowledge is amazing and the ability to communicate that knowledge with somebody like me is phenomenal! He did everything he said he would do and then some! He even added a couple little things to my computer to help me. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income I am extremely pleased with Scott and the computer tutor and would highly recommend anybody to go to them! My personal AAR: Excellent prices Excellent service Recovered all the data from my hard drive. Finish the job ahead of schedule. Excellent communication with the customer. I had a brand new computer and the hard drive crashed and I was no longer able to retrieve all data off my computer including several years of pictures of my children and family, I was devastated! Initially, I took my computer to Best Buy/Geek Squad and they wanted a hefty price and they still didn't guarantee that they would be able to retrieve the data and I would be out the money, with no refunds. A friend recommended Scott from Computer Tutor because he was successful in retrieving his son's college work off his malfunctioning hard drive. I called him and he gave me the reassurance that there was a good possibility that he would be able to retrieve my children's pictures. A short time later, with a level 4 recovery, he was successful! I subscribe to his service plan and he keeps my computer running in tip top shape all the time and I don't even know he's doing it. It's all done remotely.
