As much as I do not like to leave bad reviews, this time i feel different about my experience at daydreams and i believe in learning from the mistakes. We drove a long distance to check out daydreams cafe. We were very excited to finally get there. It was busy, with only few tables open outdoors. The hostess greeted us and had us sit in the far corner to then be waited. Table looked as if another family had just left, but this is bot what is upsetting. We sat down and waited approximately 20/25min, and i carefully observed other customers came well after us, being seated down with menus immediately provided and a waitress waiting for the order to be taken. Every-time hostess sat a new couple and or family down (after us, that is) and pointed at waitresses to go and take their order, she would then immediately look over at us, because deep down she knew we have been waiting for a while. The last straw was when the third or fourth family came in and again they were assisted at sitting down and menus provided, at this point I felt disconnected, disappointed and we calmly left. As we are driving by, the hostess again walked outside to assist another couple, provided menus and notified the waitress, she then looked up and looked at the empty table. I don't understand how were we picked as the on stand by couple to provide at least menus, or better yet clean out table and lastly offer...

Chef Chris’s culinary creativity shines in every dish, with an ever-changing menu that keeps locals coming back for more.
Among my personal favorites are the mango chutney, a perfect blend of tangy and sweet, and the salmon breakfast wrap, which is nothing short of perfection. And if you haven’t tried the BLT on sourdough grilled toast with tomato aïoli, you’re missing out on a masterpiece that redefines this classic sandwich.
The service is as delightful as the food. The congenial waitresses ensure your order is always spot on, adding a touch of warmth to your dining experience. Weekends are especially magical, thanks to their outstanding Champagne mimosas—a treat you don’t want to miss.
Daydreamers is a true locals’ spot, so don’t expect to stumble upon it by accident. You’ll need to ask someone in the know to find this culinary treasure. But trust me, the journey is worth it for this hidden gem where every meal feels like a...
Read moreFood is good to very good. Service is TOO good. I was asked twice within 2 minutes by 2 people if I wanted hot sauce. Constantly interrupting our meals to offer something or to see how everything was. Sounds like an odd complaint, but multiple people, minutes apart with same question. Needs a middle ground.
But what cost the review a star is how loud it is. The sound acoustics are bad because it is so small and the walls are concrete. But adding to it is how loud the staff talks. When a new customer enters they yell a greeting across the room, instead of walking up to them and offering a welcome in a lower tone. Staff always is yelling, always.
Wife and I were first headed to a restaurant in the same parking lot. Because you need to order outside and it was raining I suggested going to Daydreamers. My wife reminded me how loud it was our previous visit, but I suggested we go anyway. Should have listened to her. It's a shame they dont have some outdoor covered seating (besides the two right at the front door). Voice level would be more suited outside. If that were the case we would go...
