Matt needs to be fired immediately. There is NO excuse for making woman who is nine months pregnant stand out in a rain storm. And yet. That is what Matt decided was a reasonable and hospitable thing to do.

He’s the bald manager. He needs to be removed immediately. His staff all hate him and it’s pretty obvious.

I hope to god the owners read this and ask for his side of the story.

Our group gave prior notice that we were coming. The person who made the reservation showed up ahead of time and made sure proper accommodations would be made.

When the group started arriving we were given out door seating. That was fine up until it began to rain. Then we asked if we could come inside to which he promptly replied “NO. You can’t. We don’t have room for you”

In our group there were elderly women. Children. A pregnant woman.

We were essentially kicked out of this establishment because management went back on their original promise of being able to accommodate for our group.

Servers could’ve made a HEFTY sum of money from our group but the manager Matt wouldn’t allow it.

This man should be fired from this establishment and think about a career change. He is completely incapable of being hospitable to any group of people.

I will not return to this business until he is removed.

Ahhh ok. Based on the other negative reviews I can already guess how Rachel will respond “you had a big group and I was on the phone with the GM at the time trying to accommodate your group”

Here is my reply to that.

WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST SAY WE CANT HANDLE THAT MANY PEOPLE FROM THE JUMP?!?!

Why would you agree to allow us to gather here in the first place and then kick us out when we try to come in from the rain?!?!

Your business will fail. I don’t care how many burgers you get on cable tv. Your business WILL fail if you continue to treat people like this.

The owner’s response below is FULL of lies. The manager never offered for us to be broken up at smaller tables. When asked if we were “allowed” inside the manager promptly replied “No. we do not have room for you.” Meanwhile a half empty dining room with plenty more than thirty seats were available.

I wouldn’t not recommend EVER attempting to bring a group larger than TEN people to this establishment. They will blame you for their complete lack of hospitality and their “small restaurant.”

The owners clearly have no idea how to...

I have heard numerous positive remarks about the food at this restaurant. I came across a YouTube review about the grilled cheese and fried chicken sandwich that I intended to order. Unfortunately, it is not available until 2 PM, and at 1:15 PM, the rest of my party had already placed their lunch orders. I politely requested the server if they could make an exception and prepare the sandwich for me, but the response was a firm no, stating it would not be possible until 2 PM. She suggested that I could order a children's grilled cheese sandwich instead. My wife chose fried chicken and waffles, while my son opted for a burger patty melt. I calculated in my mind why they could not fulfill a customer request that essentially combined other items they were serving at that moment. Eventually, the manager approached to see if I would like to order something else. I explained that I came specifically to order that sandwich and did not understand why they could not simply add fried chicken to a grilled cheese sandwich using the ingredients they were already serving to others. I struggled to comprehend the reasoning behind this. The explanation given was that they make omelets until 2 PM and have no space on the griddle... yet they prepare grilled cheese sandwiches for children and patty melts. Moreover, I noticed that none of the tables were occupied by customers eating omelets at that time. The food that was served looked appealing, and my family enjoyed their meals. We dine out frequently and consider ourselves food enthusiasts. I have numerous options for excellent restaurants that are also very accommodating to their customers. I am always open to trying new dining establishments, but the reality is that if I have a negative experience—whether it be with the food, service, atmosphere, or portion sizes—I will not return to that place, as there are many other restaurants that meet all expectations. It was a straightforward request made at an appropriate time to enjoy a sandwich that was outright denied without a valid reason. They receive a 1-star rating instead of the 4 stars they could have earned. Additionally, they did not gain a...

I loved this place, now I will never return. Came with a larger group, gave the manager a heads up weeks before as well as hours prior on the day of, and only outside seating could be accommodated. Actually it was determined that we could use part inside and part outside. Though there were several empty tables inside. That was fine until it down poured and we weren’t allowed inside while it rained. A pregnant woman was drenched, along with her toddler. She initially wasn’t going to join us, since she was due. I felt so bad, oddly enough, no one working there seemed to care. Food was dropped off as it was about to storm terribly. I ordered chicken tenders and took one bite before the rain, all of them got drenched. Ordered popcorn. Drenched. This wasn’t my gathering by the way, I was just attending. I will never come back again. Spent money on food that got soaking wet and no one gave a damn when I told them I couldn’t eat any of it. Would YOU pay to be completely soaking wet, and not get to eat any of your food due to it being rained on?? So sad about this. I can’t justify that I actually paid but I just couldn’t take any more negativity from the manager and some of the staff. I have my suspicions that I’ll get yelled at for posting, but I am out money for food I couldn’t eat. So what more can you take from me? I can’t make sense of paying for the opposite of hospitality without explaining my side of the story. Especially during these times, when everything is so expensive. This is the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant in my life. Going out to eat is special and not something I can afford to do very often. But can anyone afford to pay for food destroyed by rain? Seems like other reviewers have similar experiences with paying to be treated like absolute garbage (see a review from 4 months ago by Nicole). I wish I had read that first. I ALWAYS recommended Gigglewaters, and I can’t anymore. I got bullied out of my money for food I couldn’t eat, which has never happened to me in my life. I could cry thinking about all the good times I won’t be having at an establishment I had so much love...

We found this place online and were excited after looking at the menu to give it a try. First, the good. The atmosphere is perfection. Dimly lit, speakeasy style, with a menu that is fun and original. The service was excellent as well. We ordered one of the mac and cheese entrees along with a premium beef burger with pulled chicken on top. The food was fine. Pricing was higher end, but acceptable for the atmosphere. What was absolutely not acceptable was the insane price of watered down drinks. I ordered an old-fashioned. They offer it smoked. That ran the price up to $11.50. I don't balk at high priced drinks IF they are poured properly. This drink was awful. Completely watered down. We took note and watched as other cocktails were poured much the same. Tons of ice. Most sent half full. This isn't the first restaurant to make large profits on craft cocktails. But, this place will not survive in a local town like Safety Harbor doing this. We won't be back. On the way out, we met a table of people drinking beer and during our conversation we discovered that they too attempted their first round with 'craft cocktails.' They switched to beer. Shame on this otherwise decent restaurant for pulling what is becoming one of the worst scams out there. Robbing customers of $10-$15 for what essentially is a giant cube of ice and a non-existent drink. We sadly cannot recommend this restaurant until a change is made to this practice. Update... I did hear from the owner quickly after posting my review. This is always a good thing. I genuinely believe they are trying to make a ‘go’ of it. But, it is reasonable to ask restaurants to take a look at markups on items. From what I understand, the single cherry in my old fashioned came from a jar that costs upwards of $100. I would offer that the concentration should be on the drink and not so much the garnish at this price point. Just my opinion. I realize others may differ. I wish them well. The atmosphere was perfection. Food good too. Best of luck.

Visited Gigglewaters with a group of friends recently. Since our party was too large for one table, we split up, some sat at a table for food and drinks, while a few of us grabbed seats at the bar. Unfortunately, the experience at the bar was disappointing, largely due to the bartender. She was a shorter woman with glasses and curly hair, and from the moment we arrived, her attitude was cold and dismissive. I tried to lighten the mood with a little humor, but she wasn’t interested. I let it go and ordered a beer, hoping things would improve, they didn’t. My friend and I were at the bar the whole time and had to flag her down for every single drink, which felt like pulling teeth. We weren’t being demanding, we only had a beer and a glass of wine, but she acted like we were an inconvenience. The bar wasn’t even busy. After the second drink, we decided to cut our night short because her energy was just killing the vibe. She never once checked in on us and seemed irritated every time we needed anything. When it came time to close out, I had to wave her down yet again, and she acted like I had been sitting at a table and needed to get my check from a server, even though I had been at the bar the entire time. To make matters worse, the check had someone else’s drinks added to it. On our way out, I checked in with two other friends who had been at the opposite end of the bar, and they had the same experience, she treated them like a nuisance. This was my first visit to Gigglewaters, and it will be my last. I’m not sure what’s going on with the management here, but when I asked other staff members for help, they seemed disorganized and disconnected, like no one knew what was going on outside their own section. Definitely not the kind of service you’d expect from a place trying to offer a good night out.

Went there for lunch today, and I'm giving it five stars, because what I had was absolutely fabulous. My two lunch companions were not as pleased as I. One had a chicken sandwich which he did not enjoy (dry) and the other had a Cobb salad which was OK. Although we live in St. Pete, we would drive to this place just to get the hamburger. It did win the local "Best of the Bay" competition and was crowned best burger in the Tampa Bay area. Now that's a pretty tall claim. I have eaten burgers in every conceivable place In Tampa Bay over the course of the last 66 years. Long gone is the time where the competition (in the Burg) was between Ted Peters, Chattaways, and El Cap. Now there are many places selling gourmet burgers. But I don't think anybody is selling a burger that is 100% wagyu. Holy moly, does it make a difference. The flavor is not anything you expect in an ordinary hamburger. Mine was a burger with cheddar cheese lettuce and tomato. In hindsight, a slice of raw onion would have made it perfect. I was halfway through the burger before it occurred to me it would taste even better with a little salt. Every bite was divine. I believe it's a franchise, and that's a little surprising, because it just feels like the kind of place you'd walk into in Austin, just a little weird. For some, it can take a while to figure out what's going on on the walls, others key on it the first thing they walk-in. The walls are lined with portraits of very famous people (or more accurately) very famous people's heads photoshopped onto bodies full of tattoos. It was wonderfully quirky. They ALSO have a very intimate 32 seat theater where you can dine and see a movie, and the tickets are only five dollars. Service was great, staff very friendly. We will definitely be back.
