WhiteWood on Main — Local services in Safety Harbor

I live nearby and try to shop local. I have purchased several plants from them including a Venus fly trap. The shop is beautiful and I had nothing but positive interactions there until yesterday. My experience yesterday was without a doubt one of the worst I have had anywhere in my life. I went there to purchase another Venus flytrap and ask a question about their care. My husband and I waited for over 20 minutes for the blonde girl who was working the counter to get off the phone. She wasn’t even inside the shop but instead she was out front making personal call after personal call to ask about what sounded like her car. She could clearly see us waiting for help as we walked in and out of the shop. She even said at one point just a minute or something to that effect and held up her pointer finger. Instead of assisting us, she would end one phone call and make another phone call. Finally, my husband and I looked at one another and realized that this person wasn’t ever going to help us but would just be ignoring us until we left. So, we left feeling extremely unwelcome. I found out about Whitewood about two months ago and have fallen in love with it since. It is the cutest little plant shop, and it is super conveniently located. They always seem to have exactly what I am looking for, and for a great price. I love collecting new plants to decorate my room with, and Whitewood just feeds that obsession in the best way possible. They are constantly getting new products in and restocking old ones. The employees always know what they are talking about and are so helpful and willing to answer any questions happily. I usually try to stop in at least once a week to see what is new, and I am always impressed with the variety of options and how well taken care of all the plants are. The atmosphere is amazing in downtown Safety Harbor and Whitewood is the perfect addition to such a cute little local area.
