A year later and I would still heavily recommend NOT going to Dorsey school. If I could give a 5 star negative I would. If anyone recommends it RUN. There DON is absolutely awful. Administration, corporate office, and VP of education is not helpful in the slightest.
Insight on one story. First I am in the PN program here at Dorsey. My husband went into the hospital an hour before my class starts. I came in to turn in two remediation packets, sat them on the desk, (teacher wasn’t in there) told the students it was there. They all notified the teacher. (I also sent her a email I would not be at class) She left it on the desk because it wasn’t her class even though she was collecting the same assignment prior. She did not notify me she left it. DAYS later I noticed I received a zero out of 100 on both of those assignments. I emailed the teacher. She said she never got them. I asked the other teacher and she was told to leave them because they weren’t actually turned in.. so they marked me 13.5 days late on the assignment. Resulting in 20/100 which put me at a failing grade regardless of all my other assignments being passing grades. I told them I wasn’t notified they were left there and just stated that it wasn’t her responsibility. How would I have possibly known? If I knew coming to turn them in ON TIME would result me in a 20/100 I would have turned them in on Monday and got a 80/100 and passed this mod.
Please please please do not ever attend dorsey. You will be better at ANY other school.
Personally would NEVER recommend this school to anyone. I would not continue to pursue this school if I hadn’t already put so much money into it. If you are considering Dorsey, please do not! I do not see it improving in the...
Read moreI stopped in to get information on their programs today and the man who was talking to me I believe his name was Chris possibly? The man started off nice and quickly got pushy when he wanted to take me into a classroom (all the offices were full) to talk.. Which was fine, I sat down and we started to talk & half way into it he started to try and cut me off when I was answering his questions.. which got annoying. When I asked him to please let me talk, he then stopped talking & closed his laptop and his body language basically put off the vibe like he had shut down and he was done with the entire conversation. When I was done speaking he basically just ended the whole encounter with “do you have any questions?” He didn’t even try to work with me to possibly get me into a program or anything. No apologies for being rude.. nothing. He just assumed any of the programs wouldn’t work out based off the fact that I work 12 hour shifts 3x a week.. I at that point walked out of there very annoyed and frustrated. I’d like to better my education but if you have someone that rude and pushy representing the company who can’t listen or let someone talk.. who’s to say the rest of the staff isn’t the same way? If that’s how he is towards perfect strangers, I think I’ll pass on Dorsey and just go back to Ross. Thanks for wasting my...
