Let me start by saying I have been here before and the regular staff is usually helpful and friendly, but I had an awful experience with "The manager" and I have to share my story... I sold a very large collection of DVDs here, including a Battle Star Galactica DVD set that was not mine. It was my cousins. I didn't realise it was his until after I had sold the DVDs. When I went back to purchase the set and explain the situation, they said I have to wait 30 days before anyone can touch it, just in case it is stolen. I thought that was fair enough. Laws are laws... Before the month passes my cousin gets involved, rightfully so, they are his DVDs. He contacts the police about being able to retrieve the DVDs. This all makes sense. We just want the DVDs back. Well when he arrives with the officer they print out a receipt for the officer and let my cousin go through what I brought in and they can't find his set. My cousin is upset. He thinks I've lied about selling his DVDs. He calls me immediately and I come on over to sort this out. By the time I get there the officer has left. We wait to be helped again and I start by asking about the set, they tell me it's not there. They refused to look again and refused to print me a copy of the receipt from our transaction. The manager brings up the cameras they have in house. He chimes in with "Those will show you he never brought that in" Immediately calling me a liar and refusing to address me even though I'm standing right there, but I bite.. I ask if we can watch it. Nope. He says "The police can if you decide to press charges" ... PRESS CHARGES OVER A BATTLE STAR GALACTICA DVD BOX SET ... "Honestly I think you should if he is going to come in here and lie about it" ... Unfortunately my cousin buys into this bullshit. We argue. I walk out and tell him I'll buy him a new one and he can press charges if he likes. An hour after we both left they call and tell my cousin they found his DVDs... The manager of this place set to turning family against each other instead of trying to work this out with us. So I Implore you... Go to maX it pawn, Go to Pawn America. Go anywhere but here if you want to sell something and not risk being called a thief.

The staff treats me with respect and never judges my situation—they genuinely care and work with me to find the best solutions during a difficult time. I truly appreciate how Max Pawn has looked out for me when I needed support, and I highly recommend them to anyone going through a tough stretch. Thank you for your ongoing help...

My "Experience", if you would call it such, was pure, unadulterated consternation to the most severe. I've visited 4-5 times in the last 6 months and every time the service somehow degrades. The Gen Z/Y or whatever, kids behind the counter had no customer service skills. They were unapproachable and downright lazy. Refusing to look up anything or even look us in the eye; twice they actually said they could not give cash for gold. Yes, stamped 10 and 14k he claimed they were: "Not taking that style". Refused to do any pawns or even consider such as a $600 Bose speaker only a year old, or even consider a $3500 brand new laptop. They simply did not want to work any of the times I have had to be there. The place is also filthy and there is just no management to be heard of. Worst pawn shop I've ever "Experienced."
