I stopped here a couple weeks ago mainly to look at jewelery. Their prices are great mostly cheap costume pieces some vintage and semi noteworthy stuff and a couple sterling treasures hiding in between. I asked to see a little box of bracelets that were behind the glass as I spotted a vintage sterling charm bracelet for $4.99-the lady with short short spikey hair wearing lots of jewelry helped me I asked to see the basket of bracelets she brought me the wrong basket of bracelets I looked through the “wrong basket” as I asked to see the other basket. Well in the 6 seconds it took her to walk over there and bring that basket somehow the bracelet was no longer in it even though I just saw it 45 seconds prior. 🤔🤨 I didn’t say anything just kept looking at necklaces. I then see spikey hair employee ask the other lady to “ring up her purchases” which must be their policy she had a pair of boots AND THE STERLING BRACELET. Yes the one I wanted and had somehow disappeared into thin air over the course of a minute or so. And she was now buying it for herself. How shady is that???? This lady is prolly robbing them blind. What if they have her “sorting” jewelry?...

After reading the good reviews about the great organization of items and such I chose to visit here instead of the MoA while in town. I found a clean, neat, and well-organized store that had all of my favorite items; cut glass, vintage and current holiday items, books, and unique kitchen finds. If you’re a successful thrifter then you know you have to take the time to look through it all and not simply skim the store. I found most items to be priced exceptionally fair in comparison to thrift stores in other major cities throughout the US. It was worth it to take a Lyft from my hotel to SVDP to bring back a suitcase-full of wonderful items. I chatted with the store manager and she was welcoming and working very hard in the back to crank out pricing on more items. Visit this store when you’re in town and support a very giving charity. (And if you’re Catholic you can absolve some shopping guilt since it sorta stays in the church.) Enjoy! I sure did.

Read moreI came in with a voucher for help with clothing which was already embarrassing. I also have a huge black eye. Needless to say I am staying at a battered women's shelter and I was desperate for help with clothing. So I started looking around the store at everything as I usually do since you never know what you can find. Shortly there after one of the employees told me that I only had a hour to shop. So I started to hurry and grab whatever I looked at that would be something I would wear as far as colors go. Then the manager came up to me and told me that I had to go through what I had and choose what I wanted because I couldn't have all that was in my cart. Why not? Is there a shortage in clothing or something? She said a few other things about it and I told her what would she like me to do. I also told her that I was very insulted. She totally looked down on me as if I was lower than scum. I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN POINT...
