While birthday shopping with my husband today for my birthday unfortunately we experienced the absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life. None of the employees were helpful at all whatsoever. I was swarmed by employees and treated very poorly. I was followed around the store and stared at as if I was stealing. I am retired from the us army and I am also a disabled combat veteran. I do have PTSD and to have employees following me around and staring at me really was very VERY uncomfortable. NEVER in my life have I EVER been treated the way I was by Macy employees. There were stacks and piles of shoes and clothing in the corners of the store. The store was beyond messy and incredibly unorganized. Literal piles of shoes in the floor. So messy because the employees refuse to do their jobs. Alot of the clothing had lint and rips in it. I've lived all over the world and 10 different states in the united states and I have never been in a macys that was this dysfunctional and unorganized and just plain messy. This store is a literal pig pen. It was literally impossible to find sizes in clothing because it is all so unorganized. I have shopped at macys for years and never had an expirience like I did tonight. I was shopping for my birthday and sadly did not purchase ANYTHING. I refuse to ever give macys a single penny of my money ever again. I'm so happy I went to iraq and fought for our freedom to come home to be treated like garbage by macys. Yes I may have tattoos but I guarantee that even macys highest paid employee would have to spend a year to make what I make in a month from just one source of my income. I'm a humble person but I do currently posses multiple sources of residual income. I have worked very hard in my life to be here I am at. I refuse to shop at a place where I am disrespected and my ptsd is triggered heavily causing me to to have a panic attack and...
Read moreVery disappointed in my experience last night. Been shopping at Macy's for YEARS..it's always been my go to for special event clothing and jewelry. Went in last night with my 7 mo infant (very content, happy baby) and was ignored for over an hour. I didn't have my stroller with me, but figured they might have a stroller or cart available (other department stores in this mall do). Nope, would have to go into the mall to get anything. I get it, but certainly didn't feel baby friendly to me. So I walk around to shop for a bit carrying my baby. Went upstairs and not one employee said a word to me (no Hi, no How can I help you...nothing) in the 20 mins I was up there. Headed back downstairs and walked through all of the women's clothing...not a peep. Then I was browsing the clearance racks by the fitting rooms for at least 30 mins and saw multiple employees...and they saw me with my baby bag and baby on one arm (still just smiling and babbling, no crying)and some clothing in the other. I really would have thought at least one person would say "Would you like me to get a room for you?" ...even if only to hurry me up and out of the store. Right before I walked into the dressing room, an employee did say Hi to me over her shoulder as she rushed past me to get to an Employee Only room. The experience was saved from being totally uncomfortable by a sales associate in jewelry who was pleasant, greeted me right away, and didn't react like I wasn't worth her time because I went to the clearance items first or that my baby was a bother. If not for her, I would have left a 1 star review. I did purchase a few items in jewelry, but I'm really not sure I'll be back...and I certainly won't be back if I have my baby with me. It's a shame, I've found some of my best...
Read moreMy boyfriend and i went there to get an idea of what each other wants for Christmas, we were only looking and waiting to purchase until we weren't together. We were approached 4 times in less than 5 minutes by people in the perfume department. We tried to tell them that we didnt want help, we were just looking, and wanted some time to smell different brands. The sales people were ENTIRELY over aggressive and made it almost impossible for us to just look and talk about what we liked. One lady even approached me 3 minutes after i had JUST told her that we wanted to be left alone to ask me again if i needed help. We floated to a different section of the department and a woman a few bays down if she could tell us the price for a large size bottle of Chanel (its the only perfume i wear, and i just lost a bottle on vacation and was asking him to replace it, i was just unsure how much a better deal the larger bottle was) and she rudely responded with "I know its pricey, do you still want to see it". Disgusted, we said never mind and went to Dillards. We definitely plan on making our purchases from there as our experience was horrible. Rude sales people, overly aggressive, never asked what it was we wanted, pushy, and made nasty assumptions about what we could and could not afford. I will never shop there again for my perfume or anything else for...
