Malpractice- Dr. Nadia Pile
have struggled with Endometriosis since my menstrual cycle began. I decided to advocate for myself to have a hysterectomy at age 45. Dr. Harrison performed my hys surgery and never appeared or contacted me until my 4 week follow up. At 6 weeks she advised my stitches had not healed and not to proceed with sex until 8 weeks. When I asked if a follow up appt would be required she said no. At 9 weeks I had sex and there was intense pain followed by bleeding. I called the office and was told Harrison was no longer with the Practice. I was scheduled with Dr Miller whom is a very compassionate doc. Miller advised my tissues had not healed properly and to wait 4 weeks, then see her again. My next appt was cancelled due to Miller having an emergency. I was then rescheduled 4 weeks out from then. I waited almost 4 months since surgery to then be seen by Miller who then assured me I was healed and fine. Miller did say I had a polyp that had formed but said it would not cause bleeding or interfere with sex. I then had sex again, after not even 2 minutes I was covered in blood along with my partner and we stopped. Cramping, nausea and vomitting set in. I called the office the following morning and left a message for on call nurse but no response. I followed up the next day at 8am and was on my way to ER at 11:15 when a return call came in from Nurse. I let nurse know I was already on my way to ER due to the ongoing pain. At the ER a CT scan was performed showing inflammation around my pelvic area and I was admitted. An infectious disease doc was called in and asked about my sexual activity/partners etc. I consented to a full STD panel as my long term partner could have stepped out, I didn’t know for sure but why not test. All blood/urine tests came back negative. These tests are 97% accurate. The hospital had called Miller to see me when I had been admitted after 24 hours and no call back from anyone the ER nurse reached out to WC directly and they advised Miller would be there by 6:30pm. Miller never showed another GYN, Nadia Pile was sent in Miller’s place. Nadia came into the hospital room with the most condescending attitude and advised me to remove my underwear while she looked for “medical equipment” to perform a pelvic exam. Nadia came back with a bed pan that she propped me up on and inserted the speculum all while telling me everything was fine. Nadia advised I had gonnareaha or chlaymidia that was the only possibility for my bleeding during sex. When I let her know my results had come back negative, she said I had never been tested. Nadia continuously spoke to me condescendingly, left the room stating she hopes to never meet me under these circumstances again. The bedside manner and lack of accountability from Nadia is horrendous, uncalled for and in my opinion should never be tolerated by another human being EVER. I spoke to infectious disease Dr Garcia at St. Anthony’s the following day while in tears due to the lack of respect, lack of care and extremely poor experience and she apologized on Nadia’s behalf. This will never be an accepted apology by me. I will continue to seek real answers on what is actually wrong. Why would an ultrasound not be performed? Why am I not being looked at for ; Endo on ovaries (per Nadia this would not cause bleeding) Pelvic Inflammatory disease, cervical cancer and or any of the other possibilities that have caused me pain and now trauma due to Nadia’s lack of...
Read moreThis was one of the worst patient care experiences I have ever had and I feel compelled to write about it because the saga of my first prenatal visit with Women's Care has not ended yet. I went in for an 8 week ultrasound due to some concerns with first trimester symptoms I was experiencing. This review gets one start only because of the wonderful ultrasound tech that we had starting off the day. That appointment went well and once that was over, my husband and I went to the next appointment at another office. When we arrived at the next office for my exam, I was given a packet of paper to fill out but had already done so online. I told the administrator and she seemed irritated and commented she didn't know what I had done or not done. A symptom of an organizational structure that does not fully support their staff. We waited to be called for about 20 minutes after my paperwork was complete. After being taken back to the exam room, my husband and I waited almost 40 minutes to be seen by the nurse practitioner. This was now almost 1.5 hours into what was scheduled as a cumulative 2 hour visit for both the ultrasound and exam. When the NP came in, I explained that I was looking for support to have a VBAC and of course, one of the first comments was, we might want to schedule a c-section. Another red flag. After going through the exam and signing off on completing blood work, we waited another 20 minutes for a lab tech to come back to our room. Just prior to that point, my husband and I decided to leave since I had not eaten and we were now running into 2.5 hours of this exam saga. When the tech came to our door, we let her know that I wouldn't be drawing blood today and we'd need to reschedule. She said pretty bluntly that I should have eaten since this is my longest appointment during my care. I was pretty put off by that given how behind schedule we really were but went up to pay without further discussion. At the counter, I was given a patient payment plan which was abruptly removed from my sight after we informed the staff that we would have insurance come the first of the year. There was no explanation as to why we would not be able to self pay at the rate provided prior to finally receiving insurance. We paid for the appointments and left. I did not go back to this office for blood work and let them know I would not be continuing care with them. It's now two weeks later and I receive another bill from this office for additional payment. This bill does not itemize my care, it lists the same services twice, at the same rates, which is different from the amount I was told would cover the exam and ultrasound. I called the billing office to ask them about this and they informed me the balance is for the labs. However, there was no mention of a separate lab charge for this visit, which was already $450. Their lab is also in house so a cumulative cost should be known at the time of check out, which is what we were told. This is all to say that this experience really reinforced my feelings that there are little to no options for honest, transparent and affordable care facilities in this area. And for women who have had prior c-sections, it is even more difficult since the state does not allow birth centers to deliver our second children. Some people have a great experience with this office and I think that's wonderful. But I could not afford for my experience to be hit or miss, and that's what...
Read moreDr. Miller is the only doctor I would see at this practice.
Prashanti Logeswaran, MD is truly the worst of the entire experience. She is rude beyond belief and truly talks to you like you are stupid and beneath her.
I had a blighted ovum which is a miscarriage and had to take medication to pass it… that medication ultimately led to extreme bleeding… I am working with a functional medicine doctor who actually has time to talk to me and explain my symptoms walking through miscarriage. He ran my blood work last week because I was exhibiting symptoms of low iron and low blood levels and my levels came back at an 8 and my iron at a 2. Which is anemia. I have bled more since then passing the placenta a month after taking the medication and it wasn’t visible on the ultrasound. So it came as a shock. I research on my own the risk of flying with an 8 blood level… the risk are hyperventilating and passing out. I know it’s lower than that now based on two days ago extreme bleeding.
I called to ask if they could write me a note not to fly to a job in Chicago tomorrow based on my most recent blood work and Prashanti Logeswaran, MD said no…. Because she didn’t order the blood work to be done… wild. Her last blood work for me they didn’t even TEST until days later during a period we were concerned I had symptoms of sepsis due to fever and clots not passing….
So they won’t do your blood work on time AND they won’t review it if they didn’t order it even though it came from QUEST diagnostics.
Her office manager said… basically if you’re worried about flying go to the emergency room, INSANE. I have a son. I can’t just go to the ER to get a doctors note and it cost money to go to the ER.
They don’t care. They don’t care.
You feel it in the way they treat you. They talk to you like you’re an idiot and aren’t capable of using your brain or processing information because you’re not an MD.
We come to the doctor because we need HELP walking through pregnancy. We need HELP walking through miscarriage. We don’t go to be treated poorly.
If you want to be CARED for especially if something goes wrong in your pregnancy go ANYWHERE else! Drive to Clearwater. If we ever get pregnant again no matter how inconvenient we will never work with this clinic again.
You would think they would feel compelled to help women… they don’t. Doctor miller was the ONLY doctor who showed any compassion or had the time...
