After Door Dash camped out at Flippers for 20 minutes letting my pizza get cold until I called Flippers and talked to the manager, who interrupted the driver’s wait for a second order and MADE him drive my pizza SEVEN BLOCKS to me and the driver had some woman in short shorts snuggling with him on the front seat reach to the back seat and get my cold pizza and the driver handed it to me like it was some contemptuous thing he didn’t want to even have to touch, the driver just stared at me with a goofy, mocking look on his face. Then I went inside and got all the way down the hall and saw he was still parked there in front of my home as if stalking me, so I marched right back to the door pointing at him to leave, and he could see me through the glass coming to tell him to quit stalking me so he drove away. This is the very first and the very last time I ever spend money with a business that is irresponsible and careless enough to contract with Door Dash. I told friends and heard in response that they HATE Door Dash. I called Door Dash and reported the incident and they refunded me 100% of what I paid for late cold pizza from SEVEN BLOCKS AWAY, and they told me that what this driver did was very embarrassing. Still, I’m never ever using them or any business foolish and careless enough to contract with Door Dash again. The manager of this Flippers had the gall to make excuses to me over the phone that the drivers don’t know the one-way streets around here (there’s only one one-way street and it’s perpendicular to the route), and I had to explain to him the very basic business management concept that if they drive to deliver within a few blocks of his business for a living, IT’S THEIR JOB TO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THIS AREA. Clearly this manager was willfully deflecting the facts when he knew full well that the driver was waiting for 20 minutes for another order while my pizza got cold and then told the driver he had to leave. This manager didn’t accept responsibility when I spoke to him, he deflected it, and he didn’t offer to make me a fresh pizza and communicate with any driver to bring it to me fresh and hot. The manager of this restaurant clearly accepts zero responsibility for anything that happens here when he speaks to paying customers. So yes, it all goes back to the irresponsible, unprofessional manager who refused all responsibility for the fundamentals of the managing this restaurant, managing of the quality of the food to be delivered, and managing the customer experience. He clearly did not care from his tone of voice—he was completely checked out and sounded like he couldn’t care less. I do hope that his boss or whoever else is responsible for running this terrible restaurant reads this and takes corrective action against the management and finds another delivery service. But I will never do...
Read moreI know pizza.
l have lived in new york and I have eaten pizza in over 4 countries, many times.
I like to eat the crust on my pizza. That is how you really know it is good pizza, when the crust, the base, is good.
You cant cut corners on pizza. Everything has to be top notch or the whole thing ends up mediocre at best.
This is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I mean it. Sorry mom.
Consistency, Freshness, Brick Oven, Hand Tossed.
Not even in my dreams i could have wished or imagined pizza this good.
Yes, it is a small chain restaurant. This made me a bit reluctant at first. I was glad i was brave enough to give it a try. I cannot write enough to solidly tell you that this pizza is the truth.
My relationship ended. I guess it wasnt her it was me - yeah, shes a good girl i hope she is happy. I made memories here with her. But this pizza was here for me before her- and it was good - perfect - i wish she, no, i wish I had been like this pizza.
Maybe we would have a present and not just memories. My memories that are now ghosts that haunt me whenever i visit here yet despite my depression and drama, whenever i come here, the pizza is still good.
I cry.
A good love came and went, now it is gone. Over.
Regardless, this pizza is still good and has been an anchor for me.
I used to eat it smiling. Now I eat it crying. That is life folks. A rollercoaster, youd be blessed to go on the ride with pizza this...
Read moreMy wife and I tried this place again after enjoying it the 1st time. Even tho they messed our order up that 1st time the waitress was very apologetic and resolved it quickly. This time was Friday evening and it wasn't too busy. When we walked in we asked the waitress Lex if there were any tables. She responded with "um yeah one, but it has to be bussed" then she proceeded to turn around and chit chat with the other employees. Finally after about 5 minutes she went over to bus the table, placed the sanitizer and towel on the table and just walked away. A few minutes after that we asked the young man who was clearly frustrated with pretty much handling the rest of the tables if she was gonna clean it and he said give me a sec ill take care of it and wiped the table and sat us. We ordered breadsticks to start then each ordered a small pizza. . When the server told us our pizzas would be up shortly we asked about the breadsticks which we had been waiting awhile on. A couple of minutes later they arrived. My pizza was delicious but my wife's was soggy. The breadsticks were hot and good even though a couple were burnt. The server, Landon clearly did a great job considering he had to pick up the slack of lex who just didn't care, and said that as she was cleaning up dishes that she dropped while finally bussing her ONE table, that left 10 minutes prior. We might eventually try this...
