Diamonds International Havensight Mall — Local services in Saint Thomas

I strongly advise against purchasing a Rolex from Diamonds International in St. Thomas. A few years ago, I bought a Rolex from their store, trusting that I was getting a genuine, gently used but high-quality timepiece. However, when I recently sent it in for servicing, Rolex refused to work on it, citing that it had an aftermarket dial—something I was never informed of at the time of purchase.

Rolex's policy is clear: if a major component is aftermarket, they will not service the watch, effectively making it worthless in the eyes of collectors and service professionals. When I called the Rolex store directly, they confirmed this, leaving me with a watch that cannot be officially maintained or repaired.

This is an unacceptable business practice, and I feel completely misled by Diamonds International. A Rolex should be an investment, not a costly mistake. If you're considering purchasing from them, do your research and be extremely cautious—or better yet, buy from an authorized dealer instead.
