Lunch for under $5 in St. Thomas? How cool is that? Especially in the land of bad and expensive food this place is an awesome find tucked away in the corner of the now very deserted Al Cohen plaza. You can't even really see this restaurant from the street, I didn't even know it was there. But be warned the local lunch crowd knows it's here because the rush promptly starts at noon. By 12:30pm on a week day all tables are gone are gone so you'll have to snag a seat outside on a picnic table. If there are that many people inside pizza amore all parking spaces are gone and you should probably try to find something across the street
My favorite pizza is the roasted garlic & artichoke hearpizza with spicy chili flakes! 2nd favorite is the veggie pizza! Yum! Slices are of the deep dish variety and are massive, so one slice may be filling enough. Service is actually pretty good, the cashiers are always helpful and they bring your order out to your table instead of you coming up to get it.
Pizza Amore also has an old school arcade game table that you can play pac man or space invaders on. My hubby is more interested in the games than pizza here. I think that's the real reason of why we have lunches at this joint.

This is NOT "New York-style" pizza; it's REAL New York pizza.
This is the best pizza I've had since I moved from NY in the mid-1970's. One slice is enough to fill you. The crust is thoroughly cooked, crispy without burning or sogginess. The topping are a full 1" think, the cheese is REAL, and the sauce is perfect.
This eatery is not on the St. Thomas VI's Havenside Mall index of establishments. Come off the dock, walk straight through the Mall shops to the first real street, cross it and keep walking straight ahead toward the Virgin Islands Coffee and Leatherback Brewpub. Pizza Amore is located in the inside corner of the building next door (and to the left) of the Brewpub. This pizzeria is only a short walk -- took as long to write the directions as it takes to get to the best piece of pizza short of NYC.

Read moreDefinitely the place to go for pizza on the Island!!!Excellent pizza place with the friendliest owner or manager. We didn’t ask which he was but he was awesome!! The pizza was absolutely delicious. It was cooked perfectly. We failed to ask how many slices in the pizzas and ended up ordering 20” for 2 people! 😀Biggest pizza I’ve pretty much ever ordered. Two large slices and each of us were wiped out. Just know that the 20 inch (for close to $38) can easily feed anywhere from 4-6 depending on your appetite!
We ordered the Hawaiian selection and kept the ham off of one side. So darn delicious!! We also ordered the spinach broccoli lasagna! It was excellent! Large pizza and a spinach broccoli lasagna were ready in under 20 minutes! So happy we discovered this restaurant for our future trips...
