We, a party of two, arrived at 11:15 and it took about 15 minutes to be seated. It then took at least another 15-20 minutes for us to be able to order, drinks and food. After ordering, we waited a half an hour for our tap water & bottled Dasani water. We finally received out food 12:45. By the time we received our food, there were no more home fries, so we received French fries. They forgot the toast for the same order. For my order, my French toast was so hard, my plastic fork broke. During this long wait, my ice melted in my water, so I asked for a cup of ice. 15 minutes later, I had to ask again for the cup of ice. Now, during all that time, we saw 2 tables leave because they couldn't wait any longer...(The following information concerns the table who came after us & were seated to the right of me.) Their order was about about to be taken before us, but they were kind enough to let the waitress know that we were ahead of them and that they should be taking our order 1st. The table that came, after them, was served their food before they were given theirs. They walked out, and as they stepped outside the restaurant, they were told their food was coming just now, after being told that 10 minutes prior. It took another 5 minutes for them to receive their food. You know what they ordered. One meal was an eggs Benedict sandwich and the other was a literal plain bagel with cream cheese. The eggs for his eggs Benedict wasn't cooked correctly. There overall experience took 2 hrs. (The following information concerns the table who came before us & were seated to the left of me.) During our long wait, the guy asked me if I was from St. Thomas. I told him yes, and he asked me if it is always this slow. I apologized on behalf of my island for his long wait. I told them not to let this disaster leave a bad taste in their mouth, and to enjoy the rest of their trip. He ordered a bagel and it took him 5 minutes to eat it, yet 1&1/2-2 hrs to get it. Such a shame!!! Before he received his food, he was like, "I came came breakfast, but by the time I received my food, it'll be dinner time!!" I told him, " I came for breakfast also, but if I'd have known it'd take and hour and a half, then I'd have ordered a salad instead of my French toast, that I was craving!!" If you are understaffed, you need to make sure to only have a set # of people who can eat at your establishment. I heard sorry, so many times during my visit. A person can only hear that so many times, that it goes in one ear and out the other. No, discount was given, no complimentary meal, no coupon that could be used for a next visit, or etc. I really like The Delly Deck's food, but I don't think I'll be returning...Attached is our meals that took close to 2 hrs to...
Read moreI'll just start off with, speed isn't something that is done here, but yummy breakfast is. The first time we decided on breakfast at this restaurant, upon walking in, even before sitting down we were told three times that it would be at least an hour wait for food.....OK......is that the polite way of telling us you don't want our business? It was even reaffirmed after sitting down, twice, that it would be an hour, luckily we didn't have anything going on that day so, we could wait.
If you can get over the wait, you'll be ok here, if not, find another breakfast joint. We've been here a bunch of times afterwards and the wait times for food has drastically decreased. During the slow season (August-December) Delly Deck is one of the only places open for breakfast, which contributes to the wait time.
The blueberry pancakes and vegetable omelette are our go to items. Pancakes taste like they have fresh blueberries in them, the omelet is always well cooked and stuffed with so many veggies, and both dishes are hearty and a generous portion if you're starving (and you might be with the wait).
Service, outside of the wait time for food, is quite friendly and responsive.
Overall, this place lost a star because sometimes you need to go in with patience and the expectation that getting food takes a little while. You'll just have to enjoy sipping on...
Read moreSo,today's date,December 12.Finally got out from the ship after a month. Was looking forward to have some fresh air,buy everything for other crew members who are not allowed to go out and have a nice lunch in peace with no rush. I admit, was my mistake I didn't check how long the restaurant is working. But thinking it was just some time after 2,I have time. Chose to seat outside, enjoy fresh air and nice Christmas music. Food arrived some almost 20 min later and in the middle of my very good veggie burger a young gentleman gives me a monologue how the restaurant is working from 7am to 3pm and Sundays from8am till 3am and kitchen works untill 2 45 and everybody is already cleaning and ready to go home. When he finished, was 3 07.I really do understand how it is when a customer comes at the last moment and you are ready to go home, but someody should explain to this person that first of all, that is not a way to treat a customer, second of all,you don't serve a hamburger after 20 min,one that you need to put together by yourself and expect a person to eat it in 2 min and go.In the end,I understand long hours and hard working,so for the waiter who served me,with the bill which came out 26.07 with 20% tips,I left him 40 $ all together for the waisted time.Thank you for ruining my day off. Good...
