Krystal Ballroom Dance Studio — Local services in Salem

We have been students at Krystal Ballroom for over 8 years now and have really enjoyed the experience. I started as a partner for my special needs daughter but have found ballroom to be a great physical and mental exercise. The process of learning the steps, the technique of doing it properly and how to communicate leads to your partner takes both physical and mental skill. I appreciate Krystal Ballroom because the instructors there are both great dancers and teachers. Though several have won national and international championships, they have a good understanding in how to relate to all levels of dancers, from beginners to competitive dancers. Current dancers include the national rhythm gold and east coast open rhythm champions. They were patient with me when I was just starting out. I like how they spend the time to establish the proper technique first, rather than just tech a sequence of rote steps. The studio has a group lesson or two every day of the work week at different levels from beginner to intermediate, bronze and silver. They have a dance party on Fridays for dancers to practice their lessons and floor craft as well as having a great time and meet a great group of interesting people. Krystal ballroom often sponsors competitive or charitable events and the owners are warm and encouraging and the environment is cheerful...

We signed up for a class package to learn our wedding dance and enjoyed every second of our lessons! We worked primarily with Brianna for about five classes and it was so worth it. Our wedding first dance looked so good after reviewing photos and videos. We have absolutely no experience with dancing and are so grateful that we decided to hire professional help haha.

Brianna was so patient and kind. She broke down each small move in a way that was much easier for a beginner to understand and made us feel very comfortable during each lesson. The lessons were a fun break from wedding planning for us and we could not be more thankful to Brianna and all the kind staff at this studio. We could not recommend them more! Lindsey is 'da best dance teacher eva'! I have been a teacher all my life always giving of myself. Now I am a student. She is so patient with me, so upbeat, makes me laugh...and is making me into a dancing machine. Deb usually tries to accommodate most situations. Chris is awesome. I remember him as a young man, now real gentleman!

If you want to learn how to dance, KB is best choice. But you need to go to all your group and private lessons. Don't miss Friday nights.
