I hate leaving a bad review but I recently had an awful experience at this salon. When I first became a client there, I started seeing Katy and she did a wonderful job on my hair. When Katy left unexpectedly, I asked what other stylist there is good with curly hair and highlights and I was placed with Jeanet. My first appointment with Jeanet was in April. At that time, my hair was almost to the bottom of my back. Jeanet told me that my underneath layer was longer than my top layer and that she needed to cut off that layer to even it out. I didn't want to lose my length but she said it had to be done so I agreed but asked her not to cut more than she absolutely had to. Well, she ended up cutting more than I wanted her to and she cut a lot off the top layer too so I ended up with short pieces in the front that I didn't want. My second appointment with her was about a week ago. I told her it's already shorter than I'd like so to only trim it just a smidge. Once again, she cut way more than I wanted her to cut and she even did a blunt cut, which you should not do to curly hair. She straightened my hair at my appointment so I didn't realize how bad it was until a few days later when I washed it and it was curly again. I have been in tears because of how short it is and how bad it looks! It took me years to grow out my hair and now it's been butchered. My hair was almost to the bottom of my back when I first saw her, and now today it's barely past my shoulders. That's how much of my hair she chopped off! I am so upset, especially because the appointment cost me over $200! I wasted over $200 to have my hair completely ruined. The color isn't even as light as I wanted and half my hair is gone! I am so sad and disappointed and am stuck with this absolute mess until my hair grows back out, which for curly hair takes a long time! I reached out to the salon owner and she did offer to have another stylist fix it or to give...

I am new to the area. I have been working with my stylist, back at my previous home, for well over a year on growing out my hair. I made this appointment assuming I would be able to obtain a stylist that I could continue my goal with. While I actually never entered the studio they get a 1 star for one reason. They clearly do not care about new clientele. Three days before my appointment I received a confirmation text. I replied yes, I will be at my appointment at 4pm. Two days before my appointment I received a the same text and provided the same response. Morning of appointment I received a phone call, where again I confirmed my appointment. Then two hours before my appointment I was texted to move my appointment two hours later in the day that I was not able to accommodate. I requested a reschedule and have never heard anything back. So in summary, they really want you there until they don't. I do not recommend, because if this is how they deal appointment scheduling or lack there of, I can't imagine how they deal with hair. Perhaps I should give a 5 star review for the potential grief...

About a month and a half ago I spent over $100 to get my color fixed by a professional “colorist”. Everything came out great... until a week later the second time I washed my hair. I don’t know how to post photos on a review but I have a photo showing THREE paddle brush heads full of my hair! My hair fell out! Yes, my hair was bleach blonde before getting it colored but my hair has NEVER done this and it had been platinum for a year. I used to have the thickest hair I’d ever seen. Now the right side of my hair is up to the bottom of my ear while the left side is normal length but super thin. It’s like I have two different terrible hair cuts on each side.
