I was doing my normal grocery shopping for my grandmother and was denied service of her wine because my younger sister was with me. He asked my ID and after I go to hand it to him he says "now can I see yours" while looking at ME and when I told him that was my ID he goes "well I need hers" looking at my sister, I tell him that she doesn't need to present her ID because she is 20 Now i instantly was confused as this hasn't been the first time that this specific cashier has served me with various family members including HER!! and he was sitting there trying to ID my 20 year old sister who isn't paying, didn't load the groceries on to the cart and gave 0 indications that this bottle of WINE would be for anyone other than my grandmother. Let's remember I am 23 years old.. if we really use our brains here and think what 23 year old is drinking wine we'd come to realize that isn't a thing.... on top of this after asking for a manager the cashier proceeds to talk about me to the manager infront of my face saying things like "I'll tell you later" after whispering god knows what.
After being embarrassed and humiliated this cashier infront of everyone I simply let him know that I don't need any of my groceries and I'll take my business somewhere else to which this employee gets visibly red and upset and yells at us while we are walking away "thank you for your business" in the most rude bratty tone I have ever heard
So yea I did take my business elsewhere and I'm so thankful to say that the Clinton bushes has far beyond exceeded my expectations. Every employee was so kind, down the deli lady making us a fresh batch of coleslaw and found us in the store to hand to us!! The cashier was extremely kind and followed the proper procedures and served ME with no issues safe to say that the extra 15 minute drive may be more worth it
This is extremely unfortunate and I'm extremely disappointed and shocked at how the cashier and manager Marcus treated me today. No employee of bushes should ever raise...
Read moreI usually am cool with this place, but the lack of masks now is bothersome. They sell food… not even people at the deli counter are masked. About the deli… I bought an eight piece chicken at the deli and she served everyone behind me ahead of me… then I said I wanted to order chicken tenders, and she said there are two pieces in the right piece, so I ordered it (I didn’t want my small kids dealing with bones). She didn’t include a single tender…. We did get four pieces of I-dont-know-what…. There was literally no meat on four of eight pieces. I’ve only ever had an issue once before at this deli, and I feel like this woman was intentionally rude. I was very nice to her. $12 for four chicken bones and two pieces that had “some meat” and two where the chicken was visible” waste of money. I like the a la carte options, but I’m not headed back...
Read moreThey have a better selection than Target groceries, absolutely. Herbs, etc. Prices are a little high, but the in-and-out I think is worth most things. Saline location is way better than the Ann Arbor one (out of something on my list EVERY time and is less organized and darker lighting than others), but Canton way better than those.
Why it has 3 stars: EXPIRATION DATES! I have been checking in the store better, but I have to save my receipt every trip because the inventory control is so bad. One of the store employees said it's managed by the vendor, but regardless, you're stuck with dealing with it, even if that's another trip to return it.
3/25/24 update: I called the office number referenced in the response below, but the Store Associate couldn't determine who I was supposed to talk to. There was no name left in the Busch's...
