What a joke of a business and studio. Booked a class 30 minutes before I arrived and was told I can't join because I need to test with 2 instructors to join their level 2 class. Nobody contacted me to tell me this. I stayed a few minutes to speak to the manager who apologized and he issued a refund, but this does not make up for the waste of my time. I watched the level 2 class as it was going and it is not an advanced class at all, I've done Pilates for over a year and their advanced class is the same as my 1.5 class at a different Pilates studio that does not require people to test. Waste of time and unprofessional. Go to a private studio and not a chain where their conduct and business are unprofressional. The one star I am giving is for the front desk employee who was very nice and because I can't go any lower.
Updating in response to the manager's comment: I arrived right on time and the class hadn't started, people were grabbing weights when I entered and I was introduced to the instructor prior to the start of class. Please do not makeup excuses when apologizing. Also please refrain from using language like "sorry you missed" to put the blame back on to the customer when there was also negligence on the business end which the manager apologized for on the phone and confirmed that normally an employee would call or get in contact to relay this message... which I never received because I booked 30 minutes prior to the class - which in itself is an issue. If 30 minutes is not enough time for your studio to get its ducks in a row prior to class, then the option to book a class within a certain time should not be made available. Highly unprofessional. Once again, if I needed to arrive earlier to test in order to join, this should've been made clear or an employee should've contacted but no notice was given prior to the class. Nowhere in the confirmation email does it state that if this is a first-timer entering level 2, they should arrive earlier to test or prior approval...
Read moreDisclaimer: Never taken a class here, the other reviews say how great the instructors are- but the short version is they won't stop calling me, despite having talked to me twice, and leaving the conversation with "i will reach back out if/when I'm ready" so- don't give out your contact info unless you want to be spammed.
Long version: Their website says they offer 1 free class- I have done pilates quite a few times and I'm looking for a studio to call home, so i gave them my info and was going to try it out. The free class is a 30 min intro class- so I left the page bc i was looking for a harder class to do with a friend that week (she was going to try it with me too). Next day i get 2 calls and a vm. I call back and talk to a gal who tells me that in the free intro class they offer special promotions if you sign up that day. The promotion? $100 off the $150 SIGN UP CHARGE... so no discounted membership for the first month or anything like that... full price + $50 to sign up (and that's the "deal"). They also don't offer class bundles (like a 10-pack) I said ok, I'll think about it. Over the next few days I get like 5 calls and 2 more vms. Finally I pick up again and say "hey I've already talked to you, I'm not ready to sign up" (I ended up buying a pack of yoga classes instead, I was thinking once i use those up, maybe I'll consider again). Next day, another call Next day another call Today, another.
I asked them to stop calling and because of this I won't be joining this studio- it's just left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a nice person and really don't like being put in situations that make me feel rude. Which is a shame, because the other reviewers really seem to enjoy the classes. My Advice? Don't give away your contact info unless you're willing to commit or don't mind...
Read moreHello to all interested in this location my suggestion is to look elsewhere if you are a person that exercises in the morning. I went to this location because my friend mentioned that she went to a location in Lehi and loved it. So I tried my first class had a great experience and went for a membership. Little did I know what a waste of value the membership would be. I had to wait a month in advance to get any available morning classes. There is a waitlist and it is 2-10 people. Once shackled into the membership I thought I would just be able to pay the $100 early cancellation fee but no. The fees schedule makes it so you pay a full three months and the cancellation fee. I expressed that there was zero availability and throwing $109 waiting for classes to open up was not feasible. So the opportunity to waste over $300 is easy with this location.
I was told I should just have the classes after three months because the $ about with the cancellation fee and the waiver you sign to cancel which says you agree to pay an extra month in addition to the fee is what you receive. Well that would only work if there was early morning availability.
So disappointing. I got lucky when I first signed up and wish I hadn't sign up for the membership when I started to schedule. I could imagine that a week out or two is plausible. This harms the relationship with new time goers and there are fees in addition to your first month start up.
You will be nickeled and dimed if you don't check in advance before the membership sign up. you must check your time slots carefully and hope you don't end up in the same...
