I typically don't leave reviews. I have 2 rc cars and an airplane that I bought from Al, in which I am responsible for breaking both rc's. I took them to get repaired, 1 a 4 wheel drive rukus he supposedly fixed in which was not fixed, the piece fell off again on the wheel, the second is the bigger version of the rukus in which I crashed and got fixed. It worked once and hasn't worked since. I decided that I will just take the loss and not report it to him because I don't want to be blamed for something I didn't do. Once he blamed me and it upset me, so I rather save myself from being upset and I will definitely not be giving him my money again. He's a nice guy, I give him that. But I don't believe he has the best interest of the customer at heart. O also, I broke a piece on my remote control airplane, he sold me something that doesn't even fit the plane, but insisted that it fit. All that to say this, I will never give him my service again. I will either sell the cars myself, or fix them myself. I will tell any future person to buy from him, shop at your own risk. Al you're a good guy, but I am not happy with the service of fixing my rc cars, I paid you 156.00 to repair the both and both of them stop working after 1 time of driving them. We don't have to reconcile the differences, I will take the loss. I will never shop with you again. No hard...

I stopped by briefly after work because I wanted to see what I’ve missed since I left the hobby in 1993. I introduced myself to Al. Really friendly. Personable. We literally just sat and chatted for nearly an hour and we hardly even talked about RC cars. I can’t remember the last time a shop owner voluntarily sat down to visit with a customer. I respect that. And, he’s got 4 decades of experience... I respect that even more.

The other reviews are correct. Yes, he has tons of used cars, parts laying around, and stuff stacked everywhere. WHO CARES! He’s not trying to be perfect and organized like Walmart or Target. He’s a specialized shop in a specialized market with a specialized offering. To be honest, I’d prefer dealing with a mom and pop shop than a national corporation who is out of touch.

This guy is a regular guy. Tons of toys and tools in stacks. Like the rest of us....

A cupple years back I would of chosen als hobbies as a 5 star rc place but the last time I went there al nefu asked to borrow my phone and he turns around walks to the back and breaks it and then turns around and says I stole a key to his truck just so I wouldn't make a seen that he broke my phone that's the last time I'm going to als and wen I told al that he broke it he gave me six buck to replace my phone and his nefu wasn't a child he was sappose to be a mature adult but I guess he wasn't I'm never coming back I'd rather drive to hobby town or even r c headquarters man even the flee market but I wouldn't recommend...
