Beep bo beep bloop...I have to face the fact these stores don't accommodate boomers....I went in today looking for game boy advance sp charger chord and the guy said they only carry items/products for Nintendo switch and up...there are many fans my age who would love the ol school classics still available...although they had a lot of cool products and games they didn't have what I was looking for. When I walked in they had an irritating loud speaker announcing welcome to GameStop message etc... which sucks for the employees cause that would be annoying... customer after customer, day after day ... The same loud message that just ended up getting blocked out cause it was so noisy and unnecessary. Anyway the guy Fabian was very helpful and was running the store all alone. He said I would probably be able to find what I need at game over or a place called propaganda palace I think...they had a clearance sale like 15-25% at the time of writing...clean store and helpful staff, lots of items...just no ol school stuff...this location was out of my way and didn't have what I needed , guessing not sure if I'd be back...so...
Read moreI went in because my son had warranty on his controller. Manager was at the counter along two other employees . the manager scan my bar code on the box for the controller, saw I had warranty but refused to exchange the controller. She said new policies were in place and we could not change the controller. She was rude, and didn’t want to help. I actually came back because there was a sign on the door saying they will be right back. Not too sure if every one took lunch at the same time but that’s bad for business. Either way shout out to the Se Military on brooks location. The gentleman at the counter was very nice , respectful, and helpful. Great job on answering all...
Read moreWalk in first thing you hear is a automated voice saying welcome that the location is under surveillance, whatever. I'm browsing looking for a gift for my nephew head towards the PC items and this voice on the intercom comes on asking the employee if he was feeling safe, he responds and that's that. As a customer that really enjoys gamestop this was absurd and absolutely uncalled for, it makes you feel like you are being profiled, at the time I didnt let it bother me but it's was honestly surreal a true 1984 experience. You would think the higher ups at gamestop would have thought of an earpiece...
