I had such a horrible experience as a first time customer, especially with Dr. Nguyen he made me feel so unwanted. He would interrupt me a lot and he would be so rude to me.
When he was shining the light on my eye he would ask me to look forward but the light kept shining into my eye. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 from my experience other doctors usually instruct me to look at their ear. But Dr. Nguyen would only tell me to look forward in frustration. I would prefer if he would be a little bit more kinder and gave better instructions.
In addition to that I would think that an eye doctor would understand how painful it is especially how bad my eyesight is to see without glasses.
When the procedure was done we was talking to me and I was listening to him with my eyes close I obviously look discomfort because I kept rubbing my eyes. And he sounded offended he said "OH YOU'RE NOT EVEN LISTENING." I'm so sorry if I made him feel like that and I did explain to him my eyes were hurting.
I wanted to tell him more about my history with my vision but he would speak over me alot. In addition to that, he didn't even introduce himself.I had to ask for his name afterwards so unprofessional.
At the beginning of the procedure, I did make a mistake. I knew the brand of contact lenses that I was wearing, but I did not know the type. And so he mentioned that what I wrote there were not designed for astigmatism, and that they were not monthly, that they were weekly. And I was trying to explain myself that I went to Google and I Googled the brand. I wasn't sure what type. I knew the brand, but I wasn't sure the specific type of contact lenses that I wore. And so I was trying to explain to him the mistake that I made, and he just kept interrupting me, making me feel like I've been wearing the incorrect contact lenses this entire time. He was just being so, so rude to me. In addition to that, I wanted to explain to him about my history with eyewear. I've been wearing glasses since I was five. He doesn't even know that I was a premature baby. I obviously was born with complications. And I wanted to tell him that's the reason why my vision is bad. But he just would not let me speak. He would talk so fast. He looked so bothered and annoyed. And he would interrupt me a lot. So at some point I stopped talking because I just felt so unheard and unwanted.
At the end of the appointment, the doctor was talking so fast that I didn't catch the part where he mentioned I could have trial contacts. So I asked him if I could get trial contact lenses, not realizing he had already said that. When I told him this, he responded rudely, saying, "Oh, I already told you. I'm ordering contact trial lenses for you." He could have been more polite about it.
The only person who was kind to me was a girl around my age wearing a black jacket at the front desk. Other than that, the doctor was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. After leaving the room to pay, I asked the lady if I could use the restroom. Once there, I felt so unwell and unwelcome that I cried. The experience with that doctor made me feel horrible, like I wasn't wanted there. I've never had this kind of experience with any other doctors.
I hope I do not come back to this location. I do not wish to come back to this location. I do not want to be assisted by a doctor who makes me feel unwelcomed. The environment there was definitely not a welcoming place for me. I am not satisfied with their service whatsoever. I already spoke to headquarters of VisionWorks about this incident. I really hope his...
Read moreI donât think I will come back here or to any of the other Vision Works location, due the consistent problem with the two times I have been with a few years in between different locations. My insurance/vision plan was the only reason went this second time. First, my copay was never consistent, it went from $25 to $45 (due to contact fitting) and then $65 (due to contact fitting for astigmatism in one eye). They also charge more if you use a credit card as opposed to cash. RED FLAG!!  I brought my old box of contacts to help the doctor write a prescription for the brand of contacts that fit or worked best for me in the past. He stated didnât need to see them. During the visit I told him the contacts seem to cause blurry vision and go in and out of focus. He stated that the reason is due to needing bifocals due to my age (no other reason and didnât understand that it may be due to the poor fit of the contacts). His overall demeanor was respectful and polite. I took the prescription next door where you pick out the glasses and receive your contracts. I went home with the trial pair and notified the office later that day the contacts didnât feel right. I was told that can only return the same day of the appointment to avoid being charged another visit fee. They do not give you a trial period with the contacts even if switching to a new brand. When returned, the doctor stated again is because I need bifocals due to my age not actually testing to determine if bifocals are needed. I tried to explain to him that it is due to the poor fit of the contacts because I can feel them sliding, causing them to go in and out of focus. He changed the prescription, assuring me that the problem is corrected. I went back next door to deliver the new prescription and they did refund me the difference. I received my contacts with the same problem: blurry or foggy vision, sliding, going in and out of focus, and my eyes get dried out fast. I am highly annoyed that I am stuck with a 6 monthsâ supply of contacts that are a horrible fit, especially for my line or work. Resulting in a waste of money, time, and the inconvenience of compromised vision for 6 months or until I give in and pay out of pocket for new eye exam...
Read moreAbsolutely love the optometrist Dr. Nguyen and so it pains me to write this review. Years ago I had my eye exam done by Dr. Nguyen who was excellent and prescription filled by Visionworks. I followed the 100 day guarantee which Visionworks is known for but was met with push back from a male associate/manager. During this process my prescription was filled incorrectly. When I reached out to Visionworks to voice a complaint regarding my eye wear prescription not being accurate they blamed me and said âI shouldâve checked my glassesâ. Checked how exactly? Isnât Visionworks supposed to be the trained experts not the customer? When I asked for itemized receipts even the receipts were vague with few vague notes of acronyms which only those in the field of optometry would know which again Visionworks expects customers to know and be experts at. Paying money for an item that is not fulfilled properly, like buying a new car thatâs missing all the advertised features seems like a scam and false advertisement from a business. You shouldnât have to feel bad for pointing out that your prescription is missing what you paid for especially when Visionworks shouldâve checked the order was correct. Please donât waste your time on this location until management rearranges their personnel with those who truly care about their customers. If you enjoy throwing money away paying for something that isnât actually what youâre paying for then Iâd recommend coming here or you can walk down a few stores to Lens Crafters who has the same if not better items and not get scammed. I had the general manager reach out to me simply to say âyou shouldâve checked your orderâ. Their mistake became my fault, great...
