Updated a week and a half later: Had to come in for a re-fit due to issues with the sample contacts (it happens, not their fault) I had an appointment and I waited over 45 minutes in a room with one other patient there then - the same optometrist who was great a week and a half before was now all over the place (there are 2 customers total - so not due to being busy) she kept giving me a plan of what we're going to try next and came back in with a different plan every time she left and came back. After changing her mind over and over 4 times, she came back and said we'll we're not going to do anything right now you need to see a specialist. We never even tried 1 of her plans, I have been to the same eye doctor almost over year (skipped 2024) and then needed to find a new optometrist since old one moved and no one has ever told me any of the things she said. After her being wishy-washy and changing her mind over and over and not even trying one plan of action purposed - why would I believe any thing she says? I am seeking a second opinion elsewhere first but I will not be back there and I DO NOT recommend going here.
First visit: Sneaky Sales Tactics - Overcharge you. They tell you that your copay with insurance is $49 even though insurance showed $10 copay and when asked she said no, it's $49. When you go to the back they have you do the retinal imaging - I asked, does that cost more? She said no, it's covered in the exam. At the end, I get the itemized receipt and sure enough, my insurance co pay was $10 and the retinal imaging is $39 - I asked for who is in charge and he said the retinal imaging was optional but since I had it done I have to pay. What a scam. Even in slimy furniture sells they show you the itemization up front or at least tell you the truth when you question and then try to talk you into it. Here they flat out lied until you already have the service and then force you to pay for it. Yes, it's only $39 but sneaky just the same. They would have received a 5 star review for service otherwise because the optometrist was hands down amazing and the best service ever - I just can't stand the lying and sneaky sales tactics of the front...
Read moreI am beyond frustrated with my experience at this office. I had an appointment for an eye exam at 5:30 PM, arrived at 5:29 PM, and was immediately told to fill out paperwork. Fine. But after that, I was stuck waiting for over an hour in the waiting room. When I told the front office staff that I had another appointment and couldn't wait any longer, they had the audacity to tell me I could leave because they were overbookedârudely at that.
It's clear that they don't value their patients' time. To make matters worse, the doctor and staff seem to have no problem overbooking and letting patients sit around with no regard for their schedules. This level of unprofessionalism and greed is appalling. I should've read the reviews before booking, as others have experienced the exact same issues. This office clearly hasn't learned its lesson.
Do yourself a favorâread the reviews before making an appointment. I will never...
Read moreIt started out as a good experience with the dr. My sonâs first set of glasses. The follow up was the down fall staff called me to cancel and I too let them know there were issues with my sons glasses we had to change frame. When I called I left a voicemail this was end of Dec and then again in Jan -never received a callback. I called again last week since I have been having issues w my glasses and wanted to get appointment rescheduled for my son and I for follow up. I told the receptionist what happened and no followUp was made to reschedule and she said we would be ok to come in she apologized and I thought they are a new business at Alamo ranch too busy I get it. But now This morning she calls me and says she canât see where I ever called ( now Iâm a liar) and that we will be charged to get seen today. If only they would check their messages they would have seen I had attempted to reschedule. This is soo...
