Michaels — Local services in San Carlos Park

Nice location. Everything clean and tidy. If not, some employees standing in your way cleaning up should be expected. Email gets hammered with huge store-wide sales. Additional coupons 40% or 60% off an item. Then you get there & realize nice coupons and all, don't work on sale price items. Understandably not for clearance items, like real sale items though. I did however enjoy a tasty pack of bubble gum for 60% off. I guess the point is, they got me in their store shopping & even purchased something unnecessary over an unnecessary but natural and expected worry of losing out... just wait until your receipt prints out, another 60% off jackpot. If I decide to go back, I'll probably get Pop Rocks next time & report back. Walk away with so many restrictions, no worry of a minimum :-) at least on that one. Honestly, the story is very nice and you can pretty much find whatever you want at a good price regardless. Any day of the week is fine. Something will be occurring be sure of. I am major reason for shopping there is a large supply of luxury name brand pants & paint brushes at reasonable prices. Reasonable for paint. Better stores for these type of items, this store location seems to have everything in stock. If you're inpatient, probably the place best to shop for your supplies. You might pay slightly more even with a sale but worth it when all your items are in stock and no annoying associates asking what you're looking for and if they can help, 20 times. Help and assistance is free when you're looking for it. When you're not, you're trying to shop and concentrate. Overwhelming never ending product lines. Michaels is phenomenal when it comes to arts and crafts for the kids they always have a great selection and it is always very reasonably priced. They also always put their holiday-themed arts and crafts on sale a long time in advance of the holiday, so you can always go in and pick it up prior to the holiday at a great price. My most recent trip, I found a steal of bargains in the clearance section! They had camp creatology craft kits that included many different arts and crafts items, and only for $5! It was the last week in October and I also got numerous different Thanksgiving crafts at 60% off! My daughter is in love with their beads and often buys their packs of beads on sale when they are buy one get one. You can always find coupons on the Michael's website and if you sign up they will also email you different savings...

As an avid knitter, I find the local Michael's yarn department sadly lacking. They do carry a product I like a lot but they never have enough of the same dye lot to make make a sweater larger than for an infant. It's also very frustrating to find that even online, a lot of the colors are out of stock constantly and when I ordered 12 balls recently, they sent 3 different dye lots.

I spoke to a lady who works in that department at the store and she said they get whatever they are sent and have no control over what is ordered. I also spoke to the assistant store manager who told me that same thing but I know that there are Michael's stores that have decent yarn departments. Just very disappointed in this one.
