Vino’s Picasso — Local services in San Carlos Park

I can't recommend Vinos-Picasso enough! A friend suggested this art studio to our group of 10 ladies looking for a fun and creative outing, and it did not disappoint. The studio is located in a charming plaza in South Fort Myers and is spacious, featuring two long tables with easels set up for each of us.

The walls are adorned with beautiful paintings, and Katryna, our instructor, invited us to choose one to replicate. Each workstation was thoughtfully prepared with a canvas, a color palette of acrylic paints, and all the necessary brushes, pencils, and erasers. Katryna provided expert guidance on color mixing and techniques that truly transformed our artwork.

Although she offered us wine and Prosecco, we were so engrossed in our painting that we didn't take her up on it! You can bring your own wine and snacks if you wish, but we were focused on our creations that night. There was no time limit, which was a nice touch; we could stay as long as we wanted.

It was a friend who recommended Vinos-Picasso to us as we were 10 ladies looking for an art class that would also be fun. The studio, located in a nice little plaza in South Fort Myers, is spacious and has two long tables with two rows of seats, each equipped with an easel. Paintings of all sorts of subjects hang on the walls, and Katryna invited us to copy one of them at a time. She had prepared each workstation with a canvas, a color palette with the acrylic paints one need to paint. Brushes in different sizes, pencils and erasers were available at each place. She gives expert advice on the use of colors, mixing the different shades of color and other hints  that convert a work of art into a work of art. During the evening, she had offered wine or Prosecco, but we were so focused on our artwork that did not accept the offer. You can bring your own wine and appetizers, if you like to, but we were serious students that night. There was no time limit. She told us, we could stay as long as we wanted. If a student wishes to paint a specific subject, Katryna will make a sketch on the actual canvas and tell you how to apply the colors to get the best result. I had an amazing time at this paint class! From the minute I walked in, the studio felt welcoming—bright space, clean setup, and everything ready to go. Our instructor was friendly, patient, and kept the class moving with clear, step-by-step guidance (plus lots of helpful tips). I’m definitely not a natural painter, but I left with a canvas I’m proud of and learned real techniques along the way.

The playlist and vibe made it easy to relax, the materials were great quality, and the staff checked in often to help. It was the perfect balance of instruction and creative freedom.
