Took my grandkids(ages 4,3,2yrs old) there on 12/6/23 @11:34am. Upon arriving the parking lot was empty so we asked the gentleman if the restaurant was open - he said yes . We proceeded to walk to the back of the restaurant to sit in the area closets to the playground there was no one in the restaurant at this time - we chose this restaurant for it “family friendly” reputation , and awesome idea of having a playground in such close proximity to the tables . Of course the kids immediately ran into the playground with excitement .We were then approached by staff and were told that entire area was reserved for a party coming in at “12 ish” .. the araa wasn’t blocked off , nor was there any indication. ( sign , etc) indicating that . We were told we cld sit at the table at the entrance to the playground which is right next the refill station At the end - but when the party came we would have to move — wait what ? When I indicated my displeasure , and said the area wasnr blocked off, and the place is empty - again we were told that the party was coming “12ish “ so we might have enough time to get our food and be out within 30 min.. or we Clem be moved to a different location within the restaurant - to finish our meal - and the kids cld still play on the playground - when I indicated that defeated the purpose of coming there, with convience of being able to dine and havr the kids pay at an arms length - all we got was a sorry . We then had to tell 3 toddlers we had to leave - which anyone with kids knows was a disaster after hyping him up to go eat n play on the playground The manager “Daniele “ wasn’t in as yet - and when I left a message for her to call me with regards to the situation. Well it’s 3 days later and no call back . Clearly this institution doesn’t care about its patrons -( ohh did I mention. That my daughter goes there at least once a week for the convience of acess to the playground and being able to have a meal in peace ) or pride themselves on their “family friendly “ motto .. the lack of the phone call was the clincher for us . Do. Not recommend - will not...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at Popstroke, and I must say that it was a far cry from the enjoyable visits I've had in the past. The establishment used to be a fantastic spot to unwind with friends, indulge in delicious food, and savor refreshing drinks. However, my most recent visit took a complete 180-degree turn for the worse.
To my dismay, Popstroke has jumped on the bandwagon of using a mobile app for ordering. While I understand that this is becoming a popular trend, it didn't work well in practice. The app required customers to order all their food, drinks, and appetizers at once, which completely took away the flexibility and spontaneity of the dining experience. Gone are the days of leisurely ordering and savoring each course at a time.
What baffled me even more was the absurdity of their policy regarding ordering drinks and appetizers separately from main meals. The server, who I sympathize with, informed us that if we wanted drinks and appetizers, we had to close our tab and pay separately. This meant that even if you were sitting right at the bar with a single drink, you were expected to close your tab, pay, and then reopen it just to order more. This convoluted system made no sense and only served to inconvenience customers.
To be honest, it felt like the servers had been reduced to nothing more than glorified food and drink runners. The once vibrant and engaging atmosphere has been replaced with a sense of detachment and impersonality. It's disheartening to see a place that used to be a haven for good times with friends turn into a soulless establishment focused solely on maximizing efficiency and minimizing human interaction.
I sincerely hope that Popstroke management reevaluates their approach and realizes that the essence of a great dining experience lies in the balance between convenience and human connection. As it stands, I cannot recommend the current incarnation of Popstroke to anyone seeking an enjoyable evening out...
Read moreGreat mini putt experience, with two courses at 18 holes each. The Blue Tiger course offers an easier course (less obstacles/sand traps) whereas the Red Tiger course is more technical (more hills, traps, etc). There are massive TVs around the course as well, which are surprisingly not that distracting; giving a nice opportunity to watch something if you have to wait to play the next hole.
For $25 you can have unlimited play on both courses, and while you're in the open, there are considerable efforts to make the experience easier. Specifically there are multiple fans to cool you down, along with benches around each course to wait/sit. They also clearly mark the rules of the course so players can have a seamless experience as well. Really enjoyed that so everyone, regardless of experience, could have set expectations on how to play (making it clear that 6 putts is the limit on each hole is just great.
They offer beverages while you play as well. Staff will bring you your drink while on the course, and there are multiple spots to place your drink safely (typically right at the tee-off for the hole, a structure acting as both a table with cup holders, and information on the hole).
There is also a restaurant where you can sit down and eat food. You order food by scanning a QR code linked to your table, and you either place the entire order in one phone for one bill, or multiple phones for multiple bills. There are still wait staff around to help with any questions, and bringing food to your table.
They also have other free games in between the golf course and covered, outdoor restaurant. Specifically two corn hole sets, one ping pong table, and a foosball table (in addition to multiple couches and chairs to relax.
Staff was helpful, and able to address all questions.
Ample, free parking is available - making it an easy and stress free place to visit! Given this was my first visit, giving it a 4/5 but more than open to changing on...
