Rin's Bridal — Local services in San Carlos

Review for Mother of the Bride Dresses only. Rin's has been around forever so I made an appointment to look at Mother of the Bride dresses. My Mom and I showed up and were taken into very small room packed with dresses and it had an "old" smell. Not a great selection at all and the dresses were dated and seemed they were for more mature women who liked LOTS of beading. The young girl there told me mother of the bride dresses were 50% off and arranged by color. Long story short, I tried on a couple of dresses and asked if they could order one size up for a certain dress and was told they are no longer ordering dresses and they are no longer going to have mother of the bride dresses. So it was a HUGE WASTE OF TIME! This is why the room smelled old and the dresses are dated. I happened to notice a dress I had wanted to try on had the word "sample" stitched into the bottom of the dress in the same color as the dress! Who would wear that?I should have been told this when I arrived OR better yet this info should have been on the website, so you know before you bookan a ppointment. I absolutely LOVE Rin’s Bridal shop. Not only have I purchased my wedding dress from them I have gotten 3 bridesmaid dresses and now we have purchased my mother in laws wedding dress from them. The employees there were so helpful with my mother in law. She is celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary and I had called in and told them that my mother in law had never gotten the bridal salon experience back then and we wanted to make this a special day! Well let me start by saying Rin the owner heard me loud and clear and she had her employee Francis help my mother in law. Francis was a GREAT listener and pulled a few dresses that matched my mother in laws vision. They were very patient with her and helped explain so much to us about timing and having realistic expectations of ordering some of those dresses. THEN Francis and Rin talked and came back with an idea and WHOA they did it! My mother in law was smiling ear to ear and was so excited to say yes to the dress! Rin’s Bridal was the 2nd bridal shop I visited and the staff was absolutely fantastic. I was able to narrow it down to 4 dresses, all including characteristics I liked and within my price range. The next week, I visited 2 more bridal shops (including one large one) to make sure I didn’t miss seeing any other top dress contenders. The level of service and options at the other places didn’t come close to Rin’s so I went back and with my MOD’s help, we narrowed it down to 2 dresses. The magic happened when Rin offered to sell me one of the dresses I really liked since it was already in my size and needed only minor alterations (the dress was in prime condition as it was a new arrival). She not only saved me a lot of money on the expensive shipping, it took away all the stress of waiting for my dress to arrive on time as I was already going to have to pay extra to rush in time for my wedding in 5 months. I highly recommend Rin as your one-stop shop for wedding dress shopping and alterations. If my bridesmaids hadn’t already ordered their dresses, I would’ve had them...
