Unfortunately, our experience at this place was extremely negative. My son and his girlfriend decided to have lunch at this restaurant, but to the great regret, my son became seriously ill after the meal.
They ordered several dishes, and unfortunately, it was after consuming them that he started experiencing severe health issues: vomiting, high fever, and extreme weakness. We had to consult a doctor who confirmed that it was food poisoning.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but such an attitude towards food quality is unacceptable. He expected much more from a restaurant with such a reputation. I hope the management takes steps to improve food quality control and safety.
If it had been an elderly person in his place, the situation could have ended in a fatal outcome.
I do not recommend this restaurant, especially for family dinners. Take care of your loved ones' health!
p.s. My son called the restaurant and complained about feeling unwell, but the restaurant manager didn't even apologize. My son wasn't seeking a refund; he just wanted to warn the management that there are issues with the quality of their...
Read moreExcellent Kyrgyz food, located conveniently next to the San Carlos Caltrain station. The staff were friendly, polite and fast. The samsy were perfect - plump and full of meat, juicy on the inside and flaky on the outside. Manti were perfectly steamed and also full and juicy! They reminded me of the kind I got from street vendors in Bishkek! I had the Kuurdak lamb and potatoes, well spiced and topped with plenty of fresh veggies: onions, tomatoes, and dill. The carrot salad was also fresh and subtly prepared. My stepkid had the borscht, a generous bowl that tasted amazing. Food was served with fresh sour cream and a delicious, spicy adjika(?) sauce. Black and green tea are also available. The decor was tasteful and cute, it also reminded me of cafes near Issyk-kul. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant that captures the spirit and flavor of Kyrgyz cuisine. If you are looking for a taste of that charming country's food, this is the place to go. You can also literally step off the San Carlos Caltrain station and walk there in less than a minute, so if you commute nearby, you should try it at least once! Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant, and close to 101. I can't wait to go back and try...
