tl;dr - This guy ruined a nice Swiss watch. Avoid business.

Brought in a Swiss quartz watch with chronograph I've had for 10 years in for battery repair. Owner seemed a bit surly, but he seemed like he might know his trade and I trusted him to change a battery. Shortly after had to return for repair, and stated movement needed repair and quoted a reasonable price for replacement. Shortly after the movement replacement, I noticed condensation in the case. Just got back this report from the manufacturer with quote for full repair. To guarantee water resistance, the case back must be replaced. Watch has been opened by a third party. Case back has been damaged by use of an inappropriate tool. The movement is rusted. Moisture damage evident on dial. Moisture damage evident...

My watch wasn't working, I told the owner I thought it might need a battery, he said the battery was fine and the contact was loose, it took 10 minutes and he handed me back my watch and he said no charge! That's great...
