Im very disappointed. Started off great and my family was excited, but ended up not so well and still dealing with issues today. You are simply a number, not a valued customer.
The photos of pool lights not staying connected has been an issue when the pool was completed in November 2022 and they have still not have not been corrected and I’m posting this in Feb 2023. I was convinced to use the Hayward Thin LEDs by the manager and sales manager and I am now finding out, the lights pop out all the time. Someone else uploaded a picture with the same issue. A friend of mine was on a pool building team and suggested I get a different light housing so I could change later, but BlueHaven convinced me otherwise and now I’m stuck with lights that pop off easily.
I paid extra for the upgraded controller for automation, but the start-up rep was not trained, set it up improperly causing my pool to turn green. See picture…I had to work with my pool cleaner to get the controller functioning correctly which was causing pump malfunctions.
The spa was not set up properly and did not have any pressure. A BlueHaven employee came out to fix the spa pressure and caused other problems. He adjusted a spa valve causing the spa to drain each day. See picture.
James, the company owner, will walk into your backyard unannounced. It happened to us several times.
There are some on the BlueHaven team that are trustworthy. Arleen and Oscar. Most of the others were let go due to poor management. They have a lot of turnover.
If you choose BlueHaven, choose your tile and coping before you sign the contract. Their upgrades will cost you. I hired my own because of shifting dates and contractors not showing up when told.
I do have a beautiful pool, but the process/stress is not what I would want to go through again and paying high...

Excavation started dec 2019 As of today. April 18 , 2022 my final inspection not done As of April 18 / 2022 problems not being taken care of : Missed up grout , spa is not straight, pool school not done ( charges paid ). They count my question here and there as pool school which is ridiculous
During construction ,they were leaving their garbage in my yard , they cut my PVC without asking , worker were getting sick , Truck was breaking ( as an excuse when they were not showing up for work ), Most of time In and out. I hardly remember a full day of work
So far during this time They have had 3 GM , every one was blaming the previous one . Started with Jonathan, then Weston , Now Jim. Weston was better than rest .He promised that he would take care of problem but he was waiting to be out of position as GM and now he is saying that he forwarded my e mail to GM. I Have been trying to communicate with their president and so far they refuse to answer any question
I know they had problem with many customer pool and even one pool had to be started all over again.
Despite multiple email , many phone call , and text , I am not able to reach anyone . If I am lucky may be once in a while I get reassurance and then nothing happens.
They send worker with lack of experience, without supervision.
BBB contacted them , they did not respond
I have decided to take action either alone or together with any one else.
Please pay a bit more for better pool construction company and forget...
Read moreNEVER USE BLUE HAVEN POOLS. What a huge mistake on our part not reading reviews before we hired them. We were lied to from day one. We spent almost 200,000 on a small pool in Valley Center. The price was high but we had asked to push our pool out to the slope which we were told would cost an additional 15-20000 dollars. Also asked for a noise barrier around the pool equipment because it was a homeowner requirement. It took 4 months to get permits blue have submitted the wrong plans to the city. When we did finally get approval and they came to start work the said we never asked to push the pool out and it would be an additional 20,000 to do what we already paid for. Same story with the pool equipment wall saying we never asked for that. It took 1 year to build the pool as blue haven kept firing the superintendent and specialty crews. Now 1 year after install we found the the auto fill has been leaking 1,000s of gallons of water monthly. This explained why we can’t keep chemicals in the pool. Blue haven came out and said this is a warranty issue and they would take care of it. But when the owner Stephen found out it was my pool he said no it wasn’t their fault and I was responsible for the repairs. No supprise here as Stephen has done this to me 5 times saying certain things that were to be warranty will cost me additional. You have to fight to get anything fixed with this company.
