It was my daughter’s 2nd birthday. We ordered Rasmalai cake. The cake gets prepared in Artesia. We wanted the cake by 11. When we went to pick up the cake it was not there. They said it had not arrived from Artesia. Then we went again at 12. They said the cake is still not there. The party was until 2. Around 12:30 we got a call saying there were no delivery boys so the owner himself is bringing the cake from Artesia. And they asked us if we want the cake or not. “What the hell”? At 12:30 when the party has started they asked if we want the cake. We ordered eggless cake and how are we supposed to go find an eggless cake in the middle of the party? We said We wanted and he delivered the cake at 2:30. By 2 most of them had already left. There were only few people who were at the party and most of the cake were left over. I called the lady who owns cake korner and asked for half refund and she offered 25%. I said I’m not asking the refund just because I want the money, we paid $200 for the cake and the service they did was horrible. So I wanted half refund. The lady was so so so rude, she said we normally don’t deliver the cake but still we delivered the cake to the location. Once again “what the hell”? We went to their bakery to get the cake twice and the cake was not there and then when the cake was coming at 2:30 where most of them were gone did she expect us to go pick the cake from the bakery? I mentioned I would have gone to any other local bakery and if they had a mistake from their part they would have given me full refund, because the cake was delicious and I asked half refund just to be fair to them. But the lady said “ You don’t teach me how to do business, I think there is a fault in you I think you have the habit of asking refund everywhere so you are asking it here”. Hmmm wow! This is how they behave with their customers. She offered $50 And asked me To collect it from their store. “Attitude”. I never went to collect the money and would “never ever” order anything from this bakery in future. Worst worst experience. Never recommend this bakery to anyone. You never know if your cake gets...
Read moreCame across this shop just whilst visiting the indian grocery store in same plaza. Looked interesting and went in to find out that their cakes are all vegan or eggless which was great as I do not eat eggs. Apart from cakes, cookies & pastries, they also have other indian street food - sandwiches , chaats, Kathi rolls, puffs, pizza and various drinks
We did a takeaway and took a few cakes, Kathi rolls & Bombay sandwiches
Cakes - we had the Ras Malai, Black Forest and Mango plus vegan pistachio. All of them were delicious and best of all not very sweet so you could actually taste the underlying flavor. Kudos to the baker to have made such good eggless/vegan cakes
Food - the Paneer Tikka Kathi rolls were OK nothing spectacular but the Bombay Sandwiches were really good. We had ordered 3 for takeout and everyone loved them
Service & Ambiance - Ordered at Register and the person was very friendly and enthusiastic. She was explaining all the cake flavors and the food items. She was able to suggest which cakes we would like if we did not want them very sweet. Thanked us for the order and packed it nicely since it was take out. Since it was hot she told us to put some of the cakes in the refrigerator if we were not going to eat in next couple of hours Fairly new place and quite big. Had some tables to sit and place was very clean and well-lit. Very bright inside and all the cakes were...
Read moreI’m very surprised to see people investing and opening restaurants with no Customer service intention. This is the reason many restaurants are shutting down so quickly in San Diego and this place will follow the same path.
We went to this restaurant yesterday around 7:10ish. There were only 1 clean table and cannot fit 8 of us. When requested staffs to clean another table for us, the female in the counter said she cannot and also told that we should not combine 2tables together. We somehow managed to pull extra chairs and sat around single small table while the staff was watching all this happening. We finally decided our menu and went to the counter to place order at 7:30ish and the same staff says the kitchen is closed and we can’t place any orders. She was very rude in answering when we asked that she could have told about kitchen closing when we were looking for the tables in the first place. We brought toddlers with us who very hungry. When asked for the owner to make a complaint about the rude staff, he himself didn’t care about serving the customer. He said Sorry for the sake of telling and literally kicked us out. We definitely won’t come here again and will not recommend this place to...
