This review has both a review for piercings and professionalism as well as just the overall store, so if that's what you're looking for, look no further. Piercing: don't go here for a piercing. Just straight up don't. They use unsterile materials--a piercing gun, for Pete's sake; I mean, those are the PINPOINT, the KINGDOM of infectious bacteria and because they're super hard to clean. The people who do it are clearly not professionals, either, so keep that in mind. And Claires' earring jewelry and other piercing jewelry are made of cheapy materials, no matter what you get. I got an infection from there and had to be hospitalized and so has my sister, two times. Don't go here for the piercing, go somewhere where they use needles like your local tattoo shop. This part I give a one-star. Overall store: it's cute and has cute little knickknack jewelry for kids. Friendly people, friendly environment, a teeny bit expensive for my taste, but it's alright. I called to check if they had earrings in stock because my son lost one of his earrings. I spoke to Mari and she was so rude. When I explain how my son lost his earring and I need to purchase replacement she said I need to go to the same location in mission valley I went to get my son’s piercings. The reason I called this place is because it’s closer to me. I previously called the manager at the mission valley store and was so nice and helpful she gave me the details of the earrings we had purchased so I knew what to get. She said she could put it on hold but I explained I live in Rancho Bernardo and was hoping to go to a closer location. The manager gave me a ticket number for the sku and when I mentioned that to Mari she said “we’ve been out of stock for that earring for a minute” I’m just going to take the trip and go to mission valley since I don’t even want to go to the Claire’s in Carmel Mountain because Mari was so very rude she didn’t even ask what earrings or sku number to know what I was looking for. I told her she was very rude and she said I’m sorry you took it that way...

Madi was awesome! She was the only one in the shop and it was crazy busy. She pierced both my son and myself and even with how busy it was, she still gave us the time and attention to ensure we had a great experience. She also balanced cashing out other customers.
