HUMANITY! — Local services in San Diego

BUYER BEWARE. My partner and I were in the store and tried on a bunch of the great Steele shorts they have in a million colors. We bought about 6 pair between us in assorted colors. When we got home we realized that one pair was the wrong size. I set it aside to go in and change it for the right size. Today I finally made it back to the store. Standing in front of the whole table of the exact shorts, with my one pair in hand, Humanity! Tag still on it, and asked to switch out the size. The worker asked me for the paper receipt. When I said I didn’t have, that I just needed to switch sizes, he said no I had to have the actual receipt to switch sizes. I couldn’t believe it. He went on to explain that he is general manager and has to follow the rules to make sure all his employees give the same lousy service. I said the shorts were useless to us as they didn’t fit either of us. I walked out and he took the shorts and put them back out for sale, but would not give me a pair that fit! Expensive shorts— super bad policy...

First time visiting the store. I was in around 12:30... Unfortunately I was in a rush and just went in to pick up a couple of items I saw online. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and helped by Rhys (I think thats his name, says it on the receipt). I showed him the items I was looking for and he quickly located the items. As I was walking around there were two other associates who seemed like they were doing a little bit of re merchandising. One of the associates with glasses greeted me as well. As someone who has worked in retail for more than 2 decades, its so nice to come into a boutique.. esp these days.. with great customer service. I will def be back when I have more time to shop.
